I'm gonna revive this thread instead of making a new one. Same topic after al.

So, I ended up postponing the purchase of any devices until early January this year for irl reasons. Ended up buying an A271 from DHGate based on the feedback and the ludicrously low price. Or well, bought two from the same dealer to be precise: one with a 45 and one with a 40 mm ring.

Well, this didn't really go well. First of all the craftmanship is pretty shoddy on both. The 45mm one has a loose fitting lock and it can "rattle" noticeably even when locked, the 40mm one on the other hand has the exact opposite problem: the two parts don't perfectly fit and can get stuck so that I have to put in a bit of force to snap the "tunnel" for the lock in place or to open it up. Still, since these parts are not directly touching my penis, there's no pinching either way, so, considering the price, I could live with this.

Unfortunately neither ended up working for me. The 45 mm ring is clearly too big: the own weight of the device was enough to, with some moving around, pull the device down enough that my cock just popped out, despite the fact that it was quite a bit of struggle to actually put the damn thing on. As for the 40mm one, I can't put it on. Like, I literally spent the last hour, yes a full hour, trying to get into it, I can get one testicle through the ring no problem, but second one just doesn't go through. I managed to, after like 40 mins of trying somehow get it done, but then I couldn't fit my penis through and since by this time, thanks to the constant tugging, squeezing and grabbing, my balls literally hurt pretty badly, I just gave up.

At least I only spent $15 here, so it's not a disaster. What I know for sure at this point, is that I'm done with the closed ring design. Putting it on is a pain. The thing is, when I'm 100% flaccid, my cock is very small (as in, like 1cm-ish, maybe smaller vs. I'm 14 cm-ish at full mast), thanks to that if the ring is not the perfect fit, it can very easily slip out. But if the ring is just perfectly tight, well, getting both balls through it is an exercise in tediousness and frustration. Having a half ring (like in CB6000) would make this whole process more or less hassle-free. I have no idea if this design even exists for metal cages (never seen it, though I didn't look too hard for it before). If not, then I guess I'll save up a bit, since I'm sure as hell not buying a budget knockoff plastic device, cheap plastic is many things, but durable is not one of them.

I don’t think a HT will solve your problem. I found them to be the easiest to pull out. The base ring should fit snug but not too tight. I have a snug fit and when putting it on, I have to insert one ball at a time with some pushing and tugging, not squeezing and struggling. You may think about a double base ring. They tend to stay in place better and make slipping out a bit harder. Also consider a 3D printed device like the Cherry Keeper or the Custom Chastity cages. The texture of the nylon material grips the skin and stays in place very well. The downside is that cleaning is more difficult and the texture of the surface can irritate the skin around the scrotum where most of the movement takes place.

Concerning the quality issues with DHgate devices: even with cheap chinese knock offs you get what you pay for. I would not buy from the cheapest seller as the build quality of these devices tends to be bad (rough welds, poor fitting as you described).

Yeah, I get the idea, I've actually watched a couple people putting these devices on pornhub to see if there's a trick to it that I'm not aware of. Generally the idea is to pull some of the scrotum skin through, then feel out on of the testicles and push it towards the already pull through part of the ballsack until it's through the cage, then hold onto it and do the same with the other testicle, then pull the rest of the skin through for a tight fit, then put on the cage part. Makes sense, takes a bit of fiddling, but generally I can get the first testicle through in about 20-30 seconds with little to no trouble. Getting the second testicle through is where I had trouble with both rings. Like, whatever I tried said testicle turned "sideways" and couldn't fit through the ring. With the 45 mm one I could get it done in a couple minutes at most, but with the 40 mm it just didn't go through.

Well, I looked into the double base ring option, but so far I couldn't really find any budget metal cages sold with the option. And paying like $400 for a custom made jailbird or something is way, WAY, WAAAAAAY outside of what I could possibly afford.

I suppose I could save up for that cherry keeper, a custom cage with an anti-pullout extra ring or double ring seems to be around $70 + shipping, which I can actually afford... after some more time saving up.

The benefit with the Cherry Keeper is you can get intermediate ring sizes, like between 40 and 45. A couple of millimeters can make a huge difference. You can go with the cheaper material and then sand it down in a matter of minutes too. The head lock feature functions as anti-pullout, and I don’t think it costs more. The light weight keeps it from pulling down like you experienced in the dhgate model.
