MCN Contender - initial review

Day two in my new MCN Contender. Wow, what an upgrade over the old Chinese knock-off, which served us well for four months. As everyone has stated, Mark at MCN was fantastic answering questions. I ordered on a Sunday night - he shipped Monday.

It’s like having a new toy that I can’t play with. I’m 2.5 weeks into my current lock up, so things are running a bit hot.

Huge thanks to all of you who have shared your tips and suggestions on sizing. The guidelines at MCN are spot on. I’m glad I listened to Tame Lion’s advice on going a bit more narrow than the measurement.

Immediately after getting it on me, my KH delighted in some teasing to see the effects. The old cage would move down some, and poke out of the end. Those days are gone. No give, just futile attempts to squeeze through the gaps.

It fits like a glove, and is exceptionally comfortable. After two hours of morning wood struggles, I can report that the Contender thwarts any attempts at erection, and the base ring stays put.

We’re using the security screw at first, to test out fit (and I’ll have to uncage for a couple of hours in a few days.) It uses a special hex key. Mentally, it feels more secure than a lock. We’ll move to the security tag next - more for my piece of mind than my KH. She knows I’d never uncage without permission, but the finality of the wires reinforces the idea that it can’t come off anytime soon.

I’ll update more after wearing it longer, but the initial impression is impressive.

Mark builds a great cage and provides top-notch service. I like the light weight of his design. And, I can certainly attest to the quality of his welds...

Update:

The light weight is a game changer. It stays well-seated in normal wear - it’s impervious to gravity. The snug fit keeps it in place even during severe erections, though a slight pull back is helpful sometimes.

The security tags work well. They poke me occasionally and my KH prefers the smooth contour without the tag. We’re sticking with the tags for now. There’s just something about snapping it closed. Complete accountability. Also note that the screw with the tag uses a normal hex key. The normal security screw uses a tamper proof hex key - less commonly available.

I never realized how often I used the lock on my old cage as a handle for making adjustments. The security tag serves that use well.

Warning - the open design makes you vulnerable to serious CBT, especially when expanding through the bars.

It’s possible to urinate cleanly if you’re properly aligned. Things can get more complicated otherwise. It’s not an issue for me, as I’m not permitted to stand to pee.

Cool! Congrats! I also like the lower weight, a tight fit, and the perfectly smooth and welded Contender by MaleChastityNow.

We almost always use the security screw, through we have used the tags for tamperproof security when she’s away. That snap does make an impact! :)

I’m glad you got a good fit. I had a generous 1-3/8” cage originally (2014) then stepped down to 1-1/4” after I got used to that tighter fit when wearing a GlansArmor.

There was nothing wrong with wider cage. My wife was able to give me an incredibly frustrating blowjob through it one single time. It was a mix of wet soft warm pleasure and burning biting hard pain that I had to concentrate to break through. I wasn’t wearing the PA hook to prevent my over sensitive underside from bulging through the cage rods. My frenum became a clit she locked and sucked. Again it took a while and I had to beg her not to stop but it worked. That was years ago... wow.

Anyway the tighter fit prevents my grower flaccid penis from broadening at all, and even the strong pressures of a hot tub jacuzzi water jet won’t let me get to the edge.

I would like to see where TameLion’s fitting advice was written to reference. It’s a common question.

Update:

As my body evolved over about six months, the 1 3/4” base ring became too loose. I didn’t really realize just how loose, but my owner did. The whole cage would slide down when aroused and allow a partial erection.

I moved down to a 1 5/8” ring, and it looked small. Very small. The difference has been dramatic. One testicle sometimes takes some work to get through it, but it goes on easily otherwise.

The interesting difference is that it varies between tight and feels-like-it’s-welded-on, depending on my body temperature. However, I almost never feel any ball burn - and even then it’s just when my skin is very dry.

It doesn’t slide down at all when I’m trying to get aroused. The ring stays perfectly seated. I had gotten spoiled by the larger ring’s generosity.

Many folks obsess about making cages escape-proof. I’m not one of them, but this tight-fitting arrangement is close to that, at least with my body. If I’m aroused to any degree, I can’t pull out. Completely flaccid, I probably could but it would be rather unpleasant and take some effort.

At some point, my owner may have it shortened 1/4” so that it’s always shorter than I am when completely flaccid. Right now it’s the exact length most of the time. I’m in no rush for that.

Kudos again to Mark for crafting such a perfect device.

I am in a Jail Bird with a 1 5/8" ring. When I am hanging low it will slide down some an allow a partial erection. My problem is that Kitten can't get my balls through a 1 1/2" ring. We tried with the MM sizing rings.

1.5” seems pretty small indeed. An oval ring may allow the extra room to slide through. Or if you’re close, ask for a 1 9/16” ring. My suggestion is to enjoy what it currently allows. Hahaha

We use an oval ring with the Jail Bird. The 1 5/8" round ring on the cheap steel I was wearing was a hassle for Kitten to get on me.
