Interestingly, I have sometimes watched XR University kink demo videos and am amazed that the males don't get hard. Maybe he is also in his refractory period.

Honestly, you just eventually get used to it. At first, it is very exciting and just the thought of locking up causes you to get hard. But, over time, it becomes more of a normal event and less exciting so it becomes less of a problem. You also have to remember, right now you are locking because you want to lock up which means you are already "excited" about the idea of being locked. Over time, it becomes less of an "event" and more like putting on a pair of pants.

Yes, I always cage and uncage him myself. In the beginning we had a problem with him getting excited quickly and I would have to wait for him to become flacid again to get his penis through the ring & into the cage. In your case I think that no matter how easy it gets to self-cage, you would still have the same problem in the beginning when she cages you because of the excitement level for you.

As @gungadn mentioned, it just takes a little time before you get used to being caged.

I have also learned that the size, shape, and construction of the base ring and cage makes a difference. The plastic clone rings were difficult to get him into most of the time, and the metal clone we tried was very difficult and seemed to take forever. However, his new HTv3 went on in a snap. I'm very happy with the fit & look of this one. Next up for us will be the MM JailBird.
