Question for those with integrated locks

I've been generally happy with my A080, except that I'm getting a lot of pinching from the flat, wide band style cuff. I've been looking at the similar styles on DH Gate, and I found one that appears to be the same cage style, but has a regular cuff ring with an integrated lock.

I was just wondering if anyone has tried this or similar devices, and how is the quality of the lock? I'm more concerned with if there is a lot of play (up/down, sideways, etc.) that would be a potential pinching issue, or even a breakage issue.

The model I linked to has 1-3/4 and 2" rings. I normally use the 1-7/8, but I find that I can wear a 1-3/4 ring. I tried making a 1-7/8 ring for my A080 cage, but I still get some slippage.

We're never happy, are we?

I have the same lock, but on totally different style devices - all tubes, no ball-trapping.

The lock barely moves once installed. Maybe a tenth of a millimeter? The motion is rotational not in/out. I expect that range of motion is going to depend on the precision of the maker since their tolerances for the female part of the lock determine how snug the fit is.

The lock needs on-going care. You will want to lubricate it and clean it when possible. I use WD-40. I wear mine in the pool, shower etc. We clean once every seven to ten days. I likely could skip maintenance on the lock sometimes, but the WD-40 only takes seconds so why skip it?

The lock's metal is soft. It is the weakest point on the device. If I had to get out without a locksmith, I would attack the locking tab and grind it down. I have not had any problem with the softer brass while in use and wouldn't expect to given that the lock never is exposed to any loading.

I prefer this locking system to the security screw on a Lori's device. Anything is better than the padlock we used several years ago.

We now have 3 cheap Chinese devices with integrated locks. They are a bit loose but i have found a squeeze in the vice sorted that out. i''ve been locked for over a month now in one and its great. Because i'm somewhat leary of the locks construction we put a drop of fine oil into it and work the key just to check its function weekly. So far it has been perfectly fine. I'd be happy trying another like that any day AND they all cost under $30 each !!

Two cages have this lock including the one I have been in for the last month. No issues with functionality or movement (aside from an audible jingle) but the row at the top can be very uncomfortable at times.

When sitting or bent over or even climbing stairs I have encountered a sharp metal on tender skin. No damage and not every time but when things line up you know it. I have used a band aid at times and tried covering it with Elmer's glue to blunt the teeth; both only work temporarily.

If I could resolve that one issue, I'm a fan.

FWIW i simply sanded the edges off the lock with wet and dry, smoothed up just fine !!

I'll give that a try. I like my A080. It's cheap, but it does the job. Someday I'll go the more expensive route, but I can't justify the expense right now.

Well, I pulled the trigger and ordered it. I'll know for sure in a couple of weeks.

I have a knockoff HTv2 from DHgate. The cage is great but the integrated lock that came with it is sketchy. The key is fiddly to get seated, the mechanism feels flimsy and loose. With this device the lock is completely enclosed so if it fails I'd have to destroy the device to get free.

I'm not comfortable with that for the long term so I started looking for a replacement lock. They're really hard to find in the US - eBay or other foreign mail order seem to be the main options. Ultimately the simplest and least expensive option seemed to be to order a replacement HTv2 Magic Locker from CagedForHer. Those are the German-made Burg-Wachter locks, as I understand it, and I feel like that's going to be more trustworthy.

It arrives today so I'll be able to update on what I think and how different it turns out to be.

The lock costs half as much as the whole DHgate device did, but if I order other cheap devices with integrated locks (there's at least one I'm interested in checking out at some point) I'll have something I can use in them also and that I can feel comfortable with.

The pictures on the website looked pretty solid, but who knows how an actual unit will be?

I did wonder about replacing the little locks, though - just in case.

I bought one off of ebay, and I was not satisfied at all. With very little pressure, the posts would pop out of the holes. When that happened I basically had tiny pointy posts directed at the folds of my scrotum. It wasn't pleasant. It happened one night from a nocturnal erection. I felt the cage pop open and it woke me up.

I've been wearing this https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Wholesa ... 0.0.enstlD

I know you like customizing. I opened the hole in the end. I basically widened it out all the way to the circle of small holes. After the modification, it's super easy to use at a urinal. In addition, the added metal of the dome makes it almost impossible for me to get enough stimulation to actually climax. It's about as close to cheat proof as I've found.

If you use one of the post style imports, this link sales extra base rings in many different size. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Super-S ... 0.0.enstlD

They are comfort shaped. Just keep in mind that the size is the longest direction. For example, my 44mm is 44 mm from top to bottom but only about 42 from left to right.
