Thanks to all of you for your great stories. I read them with excitement.

Here is my story. Coming to the cycling part at the end. ;) As mentioned in the Hello World Post I am one of those "over Wankers" and I have been doing it since I was 11.

Wanted to stop but always had difficulty. Never saw it as cheating neither did wife. However obviously she did not know I was rubbing him up to 5x per day watching you know what. After birth of my amazing little kids (4 y and 18 months) and our baby lying between me and my wife until now the bedroom activity fell to zeero.

But what does a wanker do? He does not try to change that - he just wanks.... Up to 5x per day.
I felt empty, I was grumpy and I was nasty with my wife. I did not want to be, i noticed it but whenever my wife said something in a harsh way I would loose my cool.

I don't want that anymore. Since Thursday I have not wanked again, however I had amazing PIV Sex Friday Morning, Saturday night, Sunday night and yesterday but felt so much better. Now to the cycling part. Pretty interesting. So I am cycling to work on and off. Very irregularly since our holidays in July. My performance is 10% below what it was in July when i would cycle regularly. Yesterday about half way in (8 of 16k uphill) I noticed that I was pushing hard without getting tired so I kept pushing and when at home was not exhausted but had reached July levels. 10% faster than a week earlier. Seems to me the energy that I am not draining came to work here but might be wrong.

As to the cycling, I'm curious what kind of device you have and what you're using for a saddle. I can't ride my road bike with a cock ring, let alone a device.

It's a hybrid - more upright. You should be fine.

I put a Hobson EZ Seat on mine some years ago, and it was fine for casual riding. Note: Will not work for road cycling.

Saddle comfort is big issue for me. I've only ridden my road bike (while caged) on my trainer. I'm concerned about being 25+ miles from home and something goes wrong with the fitting.

However, I have found that raking the seat forward helps relieves a lot of saddle stress on the base ring. My saddle currently has a 15deg angle to it, and that helps with comfort below the waist, but causes other issues with the shoulders and wrists.

Anyone else have suggestions on how to get/stay comfortable & safe while in the saddle for hours on end?

Thanks C2W. After making this post, I did a search on cycling, road bikes, and saddles... There are a lot of historical topics and tons of good information. While there are some exceptions, it sounds like steel ball trap devices and endurance road riding are not very compatible. And there you have it. Comfort, convenience, or security. You can pick any two.

I have a saddle with a deep cutout on my road bike, but I can't even wear a cock ring, let alone an entire device when I'm riding. Yes, I could tip the whole thing forward, but that's going to strain my wrists if I'm out for more than 20 minutes.

While there ar some exceptions, it sounds like steel ball trap devices and endurance road riding ar not very compatible. I also have a hybrid bike—but it isn't nearly as sexy as my carbon road bike. (I hate to sound superficial, but when it comes to bikes, sexy is the benchmark!)
I did have some success in my silicone Birdlocked, but there's no way I'd trust it on a 20, 30, 50 mile ride. I'm already in danger of getting chafed just from normal riding.
