What do we think of this?



It's the Looker 02 from Steelworxx. Ignore the price for the moment. I'm more interested in functional and aesthetic thoughts. The device's page is here, but there's no info on it. You can see the specs on the Looker 01 page.

I have two concerns. I'm not sure I can get the plug's ball end where it's supposed to go. The rest of it, no problem, but that ball is 8mm (almost 1/3 of an inch) wide. Then, assuming it's up there, I wonder how long it could stay in place. I've sent Dietmar an email asking if the plug is removable. In some of the images, it looks like the end is threaded into the tip of the tube, so maybe it can be taken out if necessary.

What I like about it is...

1) It's totally fucking hot.
2) I could pee standing up.
3) It has the same integrated lock the SH uses.
4) It might have a smaller profile under clothing.
5) Did I mention it's totally fucking hot?

I don't go for urethral devices; I've had a camera up there and that's enough for me. Otherwise it's very similar to a JailBird. I do like the angle on the bottom of the A ring however; I think that's an idea that every device needs to incorporate.

I agree with the JB comparison. I'm a fan of how that device looks, but I've become spoiled with the vertical urination thing. Also, I prefer the integrated lock and that's an option on the JB. The bent A-ring is the only thing I'd change with my SH. I'd get one, but it'd require sending the whole thing back to the Fatherland and I'm kinda sorta attached to it at the moment...

I do like the integrated lock; but with the JB you don't have the pins to stabilize the cage. I assume they just raise up the lock assembly if you need a smaller gap.

There doesn't appear to be an option with regard to the gap spacing. That's odd.

The urethra a delicate structure and the risk for infection is high. Plus, you are essentially putting in a freeway which would allow bacteria easy access to your bladder, ureters, and kidneys. I just don't think you want to go there. I wouldn't want that for my husband, that's for sure.

I thought Ab's Jailbird, at 2 inches, looked tiny, but that one looks even smaller. How long is it?

I wonder how well it would drain urine without the sound in place. I could easily imagine backsplash running from the cap to the barred area, esp. if you're not lined up just right.

The lock looks a little "bitey" to me. I think all skin is out of harms way, but I'm always wary of things than can pinch in a CD.

I've thought about the risk of bladder infections. Wouldn't the frequent flush with urine clean that out? It's what keeps a fresh PA from getting infected. I'd expect there to be some risk, but I wonder how *big* a risk it is.

Dietmar recommends the device be as long as the penis is flaccid. I agree, he shows it being very small. Not sure why. I don't think mine would be that little.

The brass lock itself was rather sharp when I got it, but it was nothing a little sandpaper couldn't take care of. I got a replacement when we (temporarily) lost one of the keys and I notice he ships them with the edges smoothed off now. Once it was sanded, I've not had a lick of trouble with pinching with that lock.
