Finding out an existing cage size.

I have a MM jailbird and I can't quite recall how long I ordered the cage when it was built. I'm fairly sure it was 2 inches but I want to order a new one and make it shorter so I need to know the correct size of this one.

Does anyone know how the cage is measured for length? Along the top, the bottom, diagonally from top to bottom?

You measure the dead center of the cage..
