It's raining Steelhearts

Post by Shane67 »

Wahoo! Mine also arrived today. I placed my order on the 17th of last month, Dietmar shipped it out on the 16th, and six days later, it's in my greedy little hands. Figure, it would arrive on a busy Monday. Consequently, I didn't get to try it on until after packing all the kids to bed.

Man, it's a beauty -- even Tom Allen might be impressed by its sheer industrial gorgeousness. The finish is beyond reproach. I don't feel any burrs or roughness whatsoever. As for comfort, I'm not going to saying anything as it's only been a few hours, except to note that it's not nearly as constricting as the CB-6000s.

Surprisingly little heft. Box could have been empty.

The microfiber pouch was a nice touch.

Lock inserted. The key is needed to both lock and unlock the device.

Another view of the lock.

Is this the device? I hope so...

Thanks, everyone! The pics are a Chastity Forums exclusive. :)

Coming up on the first 24 hours, and it's been great. So much more comfortable than the CB-6000s. And I'm not using any lubrication at all, for the time being anyway. I'm using the 45mm A ring, and it's definitely just slightly too big. It could ride a little higher and tighter to my body. I was using mostly the middle (1 3/4") ring with the CB-6000s, so this result agrees with Thumper's sizing advice. I will try the 42mm ring tonight.

I think if the ring was tighter, you'll find you need some lube. Not as much as plastic, but it will occasionally burn if not lubed a little...

Actually, Ab went for quite awhile not using lube (the silicone stuff that Thumper recommended). He tried it once and thought it stung. Okay, fine. He seemed to be happy with baby powder. Then a week or ten days ago he tried the lube again and found it made a big difference. Maybe the first time he had just shaved and it stung? Who knows, whatever, now he, too, has joined the league of lube lovers. (LLL).

I'll second the suggestion for lube. I use a silicone based one.

I've also found that when putting on the device (cb3000 and steelheart), if you lube the inside of the tube with silicone, it helps with hygiene. The silicone repels water which seems to help drain the tube more effectively.

The 42mm ring was too tight last night. It burned just like Thumper said it would. I'm taking everyone's suggestion and trying again this morning with a bit of lube. Just a tiny dab of silicon lube -- I was never really convinced that it was an allergic reaction to the lube itself, maybe a combination of the lube and and the polycarbonate? We'll see.

I was still occasionally using the second-largest ring with the CB-6000s, so it's no surprise I'm bouncing now between the 42 and 45mm rings. The 45mm ring is incredible comfy; the issue is that the whole thing keeps sliding down too much.

I took a closer look at the device this morning in the shower. Dietmar has made some slight changes at the lock housing. The ring is no longer shaved flat at the lock housing mount, eliminating the sharp edge Thumper noted in his review. This also mounts the tube higher, such that the top of the tube is now above the bottom edge of the ring, leaving a bit of a gap above the penis. The lock itself now sticks out just that much more; I think the older design was slightly more discreet. The top gap between the tube and the ring is now also slightly wider at 8 or 9mm rather than the specified 5mm. Eliminating the sharp edge at the top of the ring is nice, but I'm not sure I like the other results.
