Ball slip through

I recently received my MM Jailbird device and am newly trying it out on some test runs before handing over the key. As winter is nearly upon us in the northern climes, my balls tend to want to retreat. While wearing the device, one managed to slip through between the gap and through the base ring up into my body. The slip through the gap was painful, though fleeting just lasting for a second as it slipped through. But obviously this is a problem because then I have to unlock to get things positioned correctly again.

I assume, but would like input from the board, that the way to address the issue is by decreasing the gap. Does that make sense? I don't think I could get the base ring small enough to stop this from happening, at least so that the device would be tolerable to wear long term. I welcome all insight by the experienced members of the board. Thanks!

Yeah, I'd look at the gap between the bottom of the cage and the A-ring. How big is your ring? I'm guessing it has to be at least 45mm or bigger. The JB cage sits lower, too, so that gap would be smaller than on a Steelheart or similar device where the cage sit higher up on the device.

Definitely the gap - I had this happen once first time round. I started with a gap of 1/2" (axial) and when reduced to 3/8" never a problem again.

You can do this yourself if you are very careful and have the right equipment - if not it's very quick for MM to adjust for you (assuming you're in US and don't have to wait for international postage...).

I had the opposite problem a while back. On a cold day my right nut slipped out and I didn't even notice it until I went to pee (that is probably when it happened). I was not anywhere that I could easily rectify the situation so I wore it like that for a while until I got somewhere that I could push it back through. Pushing it back through was not easy and a little painful but that only lasted for 15 minutes or so.

As others have indicated this is a "gap" problem. I have since switched to a different steelheart that has a larger diameter tube and a smaller diameter base ring. The gap dropped from 16.5mm to 11.5mm. I'm pretty sure I will not have a repeat with this setup.

I have the same problem regularly. When I first got my Steelheart, after wearing it for three weeks 24/7, I started getting a small sore spot right at the base of my cock on the bottom, where the tube rests against my skin.

Assuming the gap was just too small, I sent it back to Dietmar to have it altered. I increased the gap distance and went to a larger anatomical ring. Now my balls slip through with some regularity. More of a nuisance than anything else. I think what I need is to go back to the smaller ring and/or the non-anatomical one.

The lesson learned I think is that if you do need to make changes, make small ones and only change one thing at a time.
