Improving the PA-5000
Whilst awaiting delivery of my Steelworxx Tube Jacket I was concerned that my PA piercing was not stretched to the 8mm it had been and the size of the Tube Jacket pin I have coming, so decided to take to the workshop and play with it, made from 8mm 316 Surgical Stainless Steel please feel free to comment

Re: Improving the PA-5000
Thanks Atone it is so much more comfortable too, having done it though I now appreciate the time and cost in producing custom made chastity, I am not yet happy with the polished finish, that all the Steelworxx devices appear to emit but that's just polishing time, very happy with the result though

I think they do the best they can with the plastic "press welding" but I always recommend that people epoxy the edges of the PA and CB devices.

I have some "knowledge" of plastic injection moulding aliceinbondageland, and it would be quite easy to make the part that breaks from one continuous moulding with no seams !!!aliceinbondageland wrote:I think they do the best they can with the plastic "press welding" but I always recommend that people epoxy the edges of the PA and CB devices.

Aren't deeper molds more expensive and require a larger injection molding machine?lookingup wrote:I have some "knowledge" of plastic injection moulding aliceinbondageland, and it would be quite easy to make the part that breaks from one continuous moulding with no seams !!!aliceinbondageland wrote:I think they do the best they can with the plastic "press welding" but I always recommend that people epoxy the edges of the PA and CB devices.

Yes Tame Lion it probably cost slightly more to produce each unit, but you wouldnt require the machine/person or operator/robot for the joining of the two halves, no bad press and no returns

I don't think the production costs is what stops these guys from building deeper molds. It's the machining cost of the mold. I've bought both kinds of molds (not for CD's) and the price can sometimes go up as much as $50k when buying deeper molds.

Re: Improving the PA-5000
I guess it depends where in the world you get the moulds machined and the production quantities you intend to mould, I have repaired it and its probably stronger than it was new haha, personally im not too bothered, it was cheap and bought purely as a sizing exercise for a Steelworxx Tube Jacket and then into a Looker 03 but with the Tube PA pin rather than the Titanium hasp.. But for those who may have invested what they could afford into this lifestyle/device I think its very poor OMHO btw!!!
