Will lotion and lube always be necessary?

Since I'm pretty sure I'm going "lifestyle" at this point, I have another question. Will lotion and lube for my balls always be necessary or will they eventually toughen up to the point where I don't need them?

That seems to be different for everybody. I know some folks use lube or lotion all the time.

Personally I rarely use lube at all but there have been times when I did need a drop of silicone around the ring each morning. I also went through a time where I was using baby powder instead.

Well I used to use baby powder in my work boots to soak up excess moisture. You kind of have to when you're in them over 12 hours a day! I suppose that would also work for a chastity device as sweat can cause problems there as well?
