Base ring advice?

So I have a kink3d device and thought the 3 base ring was too tight. The 4 base ring (2 inches) XD version fits pretty well! No real tightness at all except for cold weather.

But would it be worth using a curved 3 based ring? Would that relieve the friction without upsizing? I’m worried about wasting money on this, but it may work well.

I'm a curved ring proponent, but I'm afraid we're all different, and advice from any of us would just be saying what works for us and our bodies. Spend the dosh and see - it may be you like them both and switch from time to time.
