I certainly am in favor of experimenting with the cheaper imported cages, until you clearly know those features and dimensions that work best. At that time, a custom cage could be considered, or you may find the $25-50 cages work well. Good luck

I started with metal cages also. Candidly, I like the ability to keep them clean and sterile. I don't think resin would be as hygenic although I am sure there are members that would disagree!

I have ordered a short cage with a catheter from Ternence. This will be my first catheter experience.
The shorter the cage, the more comfortable for me as far as long term wear. I consulted other members on this and followed their advice. Since then, I have worn the shorter cage for weeks and months at a time, with removal for cleaning and hygiene. Once completed, I lock up again.

I alternate between two Ternence cages, one with the round ring and the other with a flat ring. I prefer the flat ring for security and keeping my testicle from withdrawing past the ring and the round ring for comfort when I'm sleeping or not very active. The round ring is actually lighter and does not tend to chafe. The flat ring when worn over a 3 day period will chafe somewhat if I don't apply oil or powder.

Have been locked for the most part since about 2019 (self-locked). I am not comfortable unlocked and I have become very focused on my wife. Our relationship has improved since I have adopted this lifestyle.

Personally I use PayPal at every opportunity as it gives a really good security and backup should the vendor be dodgy. So far I have found that if they’ve been approved by PayPal then they’re ok. That said if I use Aliexpress (which I do a lot) I use their system and never had an issue there either, they’re extremely good at dealing with complaints and paying out on claims. Overall I’ve found 99.9% of deals on line (being reasonably sensible of course) have been fine. If something seems dodgy or too good to be true then leave it alone !!
