Not wearing for a length of time?

Has anyone had to not wear your cage (for whatever reason) for a substantial length of time? If so, how did it make you feel? Did you miss it even more, or did you have a "what the hell is wrong with me wearing that thing" kind of revelation?

I recently had a bout with Shingles that affected my groin area. Because of the pain involved I can't say I thought a lot about the cage not being in place. As time passed and the healing progressed I thought about it more. It was a relief when M'Lady called me to her and had the cage in her hand. For the first time in a couple of months things felt right again.

Has anyone had to not wear your cage (for whatever reason) for a substantial length of time?

Actually, just coming off of one. Our situation is one of my wife is supportive of my desires. But, she is not and probably never will be a strict keyholder. My desires ebb and flow and because she doesnt force it, I go active and inactive. We recently moved cross country. Cleaning out an old house, moving, etc... my mind was occupied elsewhere and my wife said i was under enough stress so she didnt think it was right to ask me to wear it... But, now we are getting settled in and we are getting back into it.

If so, how did it make you feel? Did you miss it even more

I have worn for so long, I always miss it when I am not wearing it. Kind of like a wedding ring. After 20 years of marriage, I feel nekkid if not wearing it.

I definitely have those moments. All of the fantasy and porn involving chastity never go into the majority of the time spent locked which is daily mundane life activites. Having to bend down to pick up something you dropped and getting pinched... Making allowances to accommodate your pursuits like biking. Having to find a stall and sit down to pee when in public (great fantasy, in reality is suxs). Not being able to just whip it out and pee when hiking. etc.. etc.. etc... Every time, the thought goes through my head "wouldnt life be easier if I didnt have this stupid kink"... But, the reality is, it IS a kink of mine. And, the craving and desire over rides the "what the hell is wrong with me" argument.

I have been out since Oct of '20. I am 'enjoying' the freedom. Wife seems to have 'gone off' caging me for the present. She said something a while back that indicated she had some sort of negative feeling about it, but it was in an off-hand sort of way and unrelated to what we were talking about. I didn't pursue it at the time, and now I can't quite remember exactly what she said. It might be interesting if she changes her mind and I suddenly no longer have the access that I am currently enjoying.
