We are both correct in our reasoning. Which one is accurate?
Just worry about your own situation - that's all you can do.

I wonder if "locked for fun" could provide examples of his 1-4. I like the presentation of 5-10.
Oh, I was just assuming no change to Tom's 1-4:
0: Obviously, never locked, perhaps not even owning a device.
1: Has a device, worn sometimes for play.
2: Wears the device for extended play (a weekend, a week, maybe, once in a while).
3: Wears it for extended play fairly frequently
4: Wears it frequently, maybe several days a week, or maybe a week or two at a time.

Hmmm, and in addition to where you are on the matrix, what about offsets to where you wish you were?
Offsets. Man, you guys are even weirder and nerdier than I am.
Hey, I was thinking of taking the derivative dx/dy as the velocity of the relationship, but thought maybe I should draw the line at calculus.

I was thinking about adding a Z axis for something, but decided that things were already getting more complicated than I had intended.

Maybe we should define the axes on the imaginary numbers plane to accommodate those guys who are just fantasizing about their chastity.

Geez, you guys are weird.
Okay, here's a Z axis for you:
Z0: Wanker in a fantasy world. Probably no partner.
Z1: Wanker, has shopped for a device, but not ordered one.
Z3: Wanker, has device, hasn't told partner.
Z4: Has device, finally told horrified partner.
Z5: Has a device, partner not totally on board
Z6: Partner goes along, sometimes enjoys it.
Z7: Partner actively suggests using it.
Z8: Has several devices, partner enthusiastic about keyholding.
Z9: Partner even more enthusiastic than he is.
Z10: Partner has 100% control of keys, releases, etc.

ROFL — 6.5 on the Z scale.

That's pretty good. Maybe we should keep the scale after all?
