Defining the Chastity (x) axis (suggested):

There's going to be some subjectivity to this, which is fine.
0: Obviously, never locked, perhaps not even owning a device.
1: Has a device, worn sometimes for play.
2: Wears the device for extended play (a weekend, a week, maybe, once in a while).
3: Wears it for extended play fairly frequently
4: Wears it frequently, maybe several days a week, or maybe a week or two at a time.
5: Wears it roughly half the time.
6: Wears it more often than not, with frequent removal.
7: Wears it pretty much all the time, but unlocked for certain occasions or situations.
8: Always worn, with infrequent removal (medical, travel, etc.)
9: Always worn, including travel, and their doctor has seen it.
10: Essentially permanently installed.

I don't know - it had a nice progression, although the top end is a bit ridiculous for practical use.

Let's refine the Denial (Y axis) the way it might be used for 90% of us:

0: Always allowed to have an orgasm, perhaps frequently. Denial isn't even in the vocabulary here.
1: Almost always will get an orgasm.
2: Orgasm rarely denied
3: Usually gets to come, although there might be a surprise ruin in there.
4: Orgasms may not be guaranteed, possibly a reward.
5: Orgasms maybe half the time, perhaps ruined.
6: Orgasms are usually denied.
7: Rarely allowed orgasm, although possible ruins/milkings allowed.
8: Orgasms not allowed, although may have accidental ruins or emissions.
9: Orgasms not allowed, ruins not allowed, may possibly have accidents.
10: Orgasms and emissions never allowed.

I like it a lot, especially that there are no hard numbers.

10) works, too, in that it's "never allowed", not "never happens". As I learned, nocturnal emissions are a thing, and there is NOTHING I can do about it. That doesn't mean they're allowed. I'm still meant to try and suppress them, even as I know that's not possible. Works for us.

So on the @Tom Allen (tm) scale: 0,7. Right now, with 6+ months of denial. Previously, 0,5 to 0,6.

I don't have those, but I have experienced some minor leakage, and I have occasional "spillovers" during or after sex. Sometimes your body is just going to take over.

Also, somebody suggested that for X (chastity) 8,9,10 that removal was only for non-sexual reasons. I kind of like that distinction, but I wonder if it's not overlapping too much with Y (denial).

Interesting @Tom Allen . I never had nocturnal emissions, until I went past 5 months denied, and then I had one. Limp, out of the blue, during sleep. No way to stop it. And then, as one does, I had to DuckDuckGo that, and found that for men my age, a nocturnal emission every 2 months or so is the average.

Possibly you don't have nocturnal emissions because you orgasm (*) during sex, keeping the frequency of emissions to where your body doesn't take over at night. Or you just don't have them period, you're that unicorn.

(*) Where "orgasm" as I use it here is a very clinical definition. Anything where smooth musculature contracts and semen is expelled, that's an orgasm. Ruin, nocturnal emission - still an orgasm. I know people are free to define that differently :).

I don't see the overlap. One can stay caged and still be allowed orgasms - during sex with a strap-on, by penetration, via vibrators or e-stim, or just as a function of the body at night. Or those could be disallowed. I see chastity as orthogonal ( :D ) to denial.

I'd say 6,4 with Tom's latest scales. I got it pretty easy compared to most here!
