Well my month from hell is over. New year's Eve service was a killer in the restaurant. I left the house at 9am and didn't come home till 1am. Long day in the kitchen, ended the year with a bang and now we can settle back to a normalish routine.

238 today on January 1st. I didn't meet the original goals by any stretch but I have to look at the bright side that's 17 pounds lighter then today a year ago. I can certainly do the same this year and get back to the 220s.

I haven't talked to my wife about new goals, rewards, or punishments yet but I'm sure we can sometime this week. First thing I did today after a good shower was lockup and turn in the keys though. Honestly 2018 was great, I'm looking forward to 2019 completely. Wish me luck

Good luck @Lockedchef! You're an inspiration. Due to several life events (mostly stresses) I gained 20 pounds (from my healthy but not lean weight) 3 years ago and have had zero success in f=getting them off. I'm encouraged by your determination.

Would it be cruel of me to flaunt the fact that I am still the same weight as when I started High School 46 years ago?

Yeah I was 175 when I graduated highschool. I'm also 6'5". So to say I was skinny 20 years ago is an understatement. I couldn't gain weight to same my life back then. Wish I had that metabolism now.
