Failing sucks. Whereas before my wife wanted me chaste permanently for her own reasons, now she wants me chaste permanently because I have shown myself irresponsible with her penis. Since she really never liked using my penis for her own pleasure, and she now thinks I'm too irresponsible to get pleasure from it, she is even more convinced that it should just remain locked up permanently.

Perfection is an impractical (and often impossible goal). Being human is to either be evolving, devolving, or stuck in the middle. In all matters of life, if you are moving toward a goal of improvement and making progress, then learn from your setback and figure out how not to repeat it.

An addict that falls off the wagon is not destined (or condemned) to be an addict forever. Dust yourself off and get back on the wagon.

Above all, remember that chastity is a tactic (or even just a game) against a darkness of our own human nature. The male human sexual drive is designed to procreate, plain and simple—we're built to orgasm—and to like it. Learn from your setback and move on.

I teach a 2-day course at my workplace about "High Performance," and the concept of perfection is actually quite destructive. It turns out that since perfection is rarely attainable that many people don't even try for it for fear of failure. They would rather be status quo than attempt a stretch goal and fail. That approach leads to mediocrity. We teach our employees to set big goals and to reach for them—but if they fail, which they will occasionally do, to learn from those failings when they set their next stretch goals.

Don't be afraid of mistakes—be afraid of making the same mistake twice!

In my humble opinion.
