I asked the TSA and got this answer:
Thank you for contacting the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Contact Center regarding passenger screening and body piercings.

An individual will never be required to remove or show a body piercing. If a body piercing results in an alarm of the walk-through metal detector or Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT) machine, the Transportation Security Officer (TSO) will resolve the alarm by conducting a patdown. In order to ensure security, patdown inspections may include sensitive areas of the body and TSOs are trained to maintain the highest levels of professionalism.

TSOs will never ask to visually check the location of a body piercing in a sensitive area; nor will a TSO view the location of a body piercing in a sensitive area if an individual offers to show it. If the individual offers to show a body piercing located in a non-sensitive area of the body, the TSO may view it in that screening location, or in a private screening area.

If the TSO remains suspicious of an alarm in a sensitive area after completing the screening process, the Supervisory TSO will be notified and may notify a law enforcement officer for resolution.

TSA continues to develop and deploy new technologies to address the explosives threat, and the use of patdowns provides an additional layer of security at the checkpoint. For more information regarding patdown procedures, please visit TSA’s Web site at http://www.tsa.gov.

We hope this information is helpful.

Thanks for posting the response from TSA. Are you planning on wearing it through security? Please let us know how it goes. I think next time I travel without the kids I will also keep it on and mention that it is body jewlery if they ask. Again please let us know how it goes.

Nope... Happy to stay in the CB device for traveling and the JB at home... I don't think I would risk having a TSA officer call the airport police, who may not be as sensitive as TSA staff. The CB3000 locked with the plastic lock does not cause an issue, although I much prefer my JB, the CB does the trick when traveling by air and a few days on business!

Agree with Caged55. Doubt my spouse nor I would want to expose ourselves to that much scrutiny and potential hassle. Flying is bad enough already.

I went through TSA Pre Check at BWI last week with my MM Jailbird locked on with security screw! My keyholder punished me by leaving on for my travel instead of swapping to my HTv2. I did not set off the metal detector and just grab my stuff and continued to my gate.

I just went through 3 times with a steel cockring (used for sizing) in my carry-on. No problem.

I'm next going to buy one of the cheap cages on Amazon and have that in my carry-on.

If that works, then I'll wear the cheap on (in case they won't allow it to go with me) and see.

Why would you think it would be a problem in your carry on ? it's not a weapon ? surely they will have "seen" it on x-ray BUT if you wear it and the metal detector picks it up they won't know what it is ? so as far as they're concerned you could have a "real" weapon between your legs ?? no ??

They might view it as similar to brass knuckles. Something you could use to hit someone harder with.

I have brought numerous chastity devices through airport security in the US, at numerous airports. Only once in many years did anyone want to do a physical inspection. That one time the TSA agent looked at it in my suitcase and sent me onward. No problem. All the other times I breeze right through.

In the US there aren't any laws against bringing chastity devices in your luggage.
