So in my first sexual experience being locked (with my wife of course), my wife waited to unlock until she had had her way with me in every other way.

Of course I was hard as a rock, so the unlocking felt amazing, and I swelled instantly. This of course meant that the base ring couldn't be removed, and we were both a bit squeamish having intercourse with the locking pin poking up along the top of my penis.. She was nervous she would impale herself.

We went slow to start, and tried rotating it around to the side of my balls, which seemed to work best.

What does everyone do in this situation?

I'm sorry to sound green, but I am. I think a hinged base ring would solve the problem, but what do you all do with standard base rings? Seems like once your're erect, you're stuck.

I use a Holy Trainer. We don't unlock me for sex anymore, but when we used to I was always able to get the ring off. You might just have to settle for rotating it. There have been a number of discussions on here about that, and it seems to be the most popular practice.

Even though I am always rock hard when the device comes off, I can still slip the ring over everything. I just take it all off. It does not take me long to put it back on. After all these years I just push my balls through it in a few seconds and I am done. I agree with clarkj03. Once I'm erect there's no way the ring is coming off. My erections are still enough it's not going to bend to slip out of the base ring.

I just spin the post to under the sack and have no discomfort.

Same here. When not using a hinged ring, it either has to come off in advance, or it's not coming off without a break to calm down. With the ring still on, orgasm/ejaculation may be partly ruined, and retrograde.

Just a reminder, when sex is over, either take the ring off completely or put the cage back on- do NOT go to sleep with just the ring on. Going to sleep with just the ring on may result in nocturnal erections that last much longer than they should, and can cause some ugly edema that may make one more prone to it and never go away entirely. There is a reason that the Viagra commercials say "Seek medical attention for an erection lasting more than four hours."
