The other day I went to post and a message came up saying my up. Was blacklisted, with instructions to a certain link provided to get my IP off the list. I followed it as best as I knew to do.. then sent that recent post as a test message...which went ok. I guess I'm not blacklisted any more. Not sure what I may have posted that was bad or wrong.. maybe someone else got ahold of my IP ?

Odd.

Next time get a screen capture. I've never seen this. Maybe @Schnoff was doing some database maintenance.

What was the link/site, and what were the instructions?

(Trying to determine if it was a valid blacklisting, such as from Spamcop, or if you somehow got scammed and might have just got malwared.)

No database maintenance being done. Typically these black lists are populated when spam originates from the IP. The list is not maintained by us, it’s external:
“ Check IP against DNS Blackhole List:
If enabled the user’s IP address is checked against the following DNSBL services on registration and posting: spamcop.net and www.spamhaus.org. ”

The two most common reasons your IP would be flagged as spam or malicious are:
- Someone got infected, their machine was used. When the ISP cycled IPs around, as they do periodically (the technical mechanism for this is DHCP if you want to do a nerd dive), you got it by sheer chance and now you are the one on the black list.
- Your machine got infected and you are sending spam / being used for malware attacks without your knowledge

We always hope for the former, not the latter, of course :).

I wanted to ad my thank you to the others for the way you administer this site. Maybe someday my wife will come around and visit. The last thing she needs to see is some of the other stuff that you so diligently are trying to limit here. Thanks.

I never really read this thread until now, but this statement caught my eye. I've gone to sex shops for quite some time (for toys, porn, lingerie) and I don't recall ever seeing chastity cages but the last time I was in a store I saw a few. I guess chastity is gaining popularity by this and the many cages available online these days. What I don't know is how often this is a male purchasing it out of curiosity or couples like Freaky_Dude and his wife that use it as a relationship enhancer.

But I find the therapist's comment very interesting.

Cheers

Mrs. Twisted saw one in a shop some years ago, she told me that the only reason she didn't buy it was that she was uncertain about sizing issues.

Just putting this out there... Hubby and I used to see the same therapist (individually, not couples therapy) so he definitely got to see both sides of the story in our relationship.

Anyway... He knew we began our Wife led marriage and chastity and we talked about how we have the blog, etc. He never saw it or knew what was on it but we talked about it all the time.

We also talked about it openly with hubby's urologist at the time we started because we wanted to know what we were wanting to do, was safe.
