I've been in and out of chastity for over four years now. Out for as much as six months at a time while we deal with life and all that comes with it. Never been in for more than two months without some sort of significant break of maybe a week or more.

The great thing about the breaks is that chastity always has that new feel. I've never had an occasion where I can't perform when the cage comes off. Even after two weeks denied I've never gone more than a few waking hours without at least a few minutes of some sort of serious straining against my cage.

The bad news is I work from home and sit at a computer... and I find it extremely difficult to concentrate. I can burn a half a day surfing porn, writing fiction and uhh, playing with my prostate.

I'd be curious to know if anyone has ever considered giving up just because of lack of productivity.

For me this varies a lot. There are times when I'm unable to think about anything besides cumming and can't get anything else done. Other times the knowledge that I have no control frees me up to focus on other things. I'd say a lot of it depends on how much my wife is teasing me, as well as how long I've gone without cumming. Plus, sometimes keeping me distracted is part of the fun for her, other times she's just happy to know she has control of my orgasms. If she wants me to be distracted, I pretty much will be.

Working from home can be distracting without chastity. It takes a lot of self discipline to work from home and stay motivated to concentrate on the work. I am self-employed. All my working days are different where I may spend a considerable time at home or just the the morning or just the afternoon or maybe even in and out all day long. I also have days where I'm out all day so no time for the internet.

Even before chastity, I would find myself making a coffee or raiding the fridge, checking out some porn or other sites like sports, watch the news on TV, tinkering in my shop etc which distracts me from my work. When I started chastity, I found myself looking at more porn than usual and it was jamming up my workload. It was like I was seeing how aroused I could get while fantasizing as I was looking at it while locked up. I finally realized that it wasn't doing me any good so I stopped wasting time with it. I am now more productive again.

It's probably the locked for a while, not locked for a while that's causing your distraction. I have been locked consistently for several years so wearing the cage just became normal. We recently took a break for a while due to personal reasons and we're back at it again. I have noticed that the arousal has been somewhat distracting. I'm sure as time goes on, with consistent wear it will get back to normal.

Now if only there was a chastity cage for the fridge and the snack cabinet. I could get even more done when I'm working from the house.

I'm like you in that I'm a work from home at the computer, but unlike you... I'm like Shepherdsflock, I am MUCH more productive and more creative. I hadn't even realized it, but my ex pointed it out one time and when I thought about it I had to agree.

I am also more productive in chastity - without the chance to masturbate. But after reading how damaging porn is if over consumed I stopped the porn also.

Yes, often I find it distracting, and sometimes spend too much time here and on other sites.
