Review of mistress Ivey's book please

Post by MrCage »

I am contemplating getting Mrs Cage the book on chastity keyholders by Mistress Ivey. I read a sample of it, I don't know if it is too vague or informative. What do you think, if you have read it?

I haven't read the book but, am a frequent reader of her blog. She defiantly leans toward a FLR. Her information and suggestions for loving, male control are usually good. LRC never wanted a FLR. She did find many ideas that she tailored for her enjoyment.

If you haven't looked at it yet you may want to check her site out. This would give you an idea of her. I think she said in one of her older posts that she was combining the ideas in the blogs for her first book. At her blog she lists, and describes, all six of her books.

If you scroll down, on the right, there is a list of her most popular past blogs.

Her thoughts definitely lean toward more than orgasm control and towards the key holder having all of the power/control. Her thoughts include humiliation and punishment.

That does not describe all people in to chastity but I believe a majority including a vast majority of her readers. On her blog she recently had a survey on humiliation that clearly showed her audience was into humiliation.

If this matches your view then her books are very good.

She also offers a KH guidance for what I consider a reasonable price (I think it was $60 for 3 months(. If your KH is already a member of the KH only forum they likely would get little from this service. I did try to encourage my KH to make use of the service because she has not joined this site and I thought that may be easier for her. She has not used the service so I cannot say if it helped my KH.

Her writing is good and the advice reasonable. It's basic stuff. There is a lot more free stuff a search will yield. I wouldn't waste the money.

MrCage, I have all of her books love them and fully recommend them. Very easy to read and worth it. I was not intimidated at all but rather enjoyed her style. It's matter of fact but also very reassuring that keyholding is all about us Ladies and we can do it our way!

Personally I like the books to be able to look back at and re read when I need to. There is a lot I the internet but you do have to weed through the bullshit... the book is the book, no bullshit.

Hope that helps!

Early on I bought the book and asked my wife to read the first 30 something pages just to help her know where I might be coming from. Not too long ago I ask her if she ever read the book. She said she read some of it. I'm hoping in the future she might go back and read some more of it.

i purchased mistress Iveys book as i was turned on by the amazon kindle preview. Thought I would give it to my wife but i quickly got very turned off as she is very much in to cross dressing, humiliation and female lead relationship 3 things that I am NOT fantasizing about and would turn my wife off. Due to Sarah Jameson's Money back guarantee I decided to spend the 70 USD on her Book "Be Careful What you Wish for" and that is the book I am planning to give to my wife to read. I believe it to be well explained and think my wife will enjoy it.

I purchased her first two keyholding books for my Wife. She found them non-threatening or intimidating. She has since played the keyholding role with me off and on, but has enjoyed it so much that she commented how glad she was in having the idea to purchase a chastity device after reading Ms. Ivey's books. I would recommend them for anyone who is reluctant to discuss the idea with their significant other.
