noob fit questions

Post by bostondan »

Hi there

I just started wearing a device with my wife as kh and have some questions. I got a metal "Jailhouse" device which looks like the jailbird but with metal rings instead of horizontal bars. I think I will get a custom. One from MM eventually.

First, can wearing a device like this cause any long term physical damage?
How should the ring fit? I've tried the 1.5, 1.75 and 2" rings. The 1.5 fits the most snug but the 1.75 and 2" rings are more comfy. The bigger rings will slide down my shaft though. I can barely get my index finger under the smallest ring just up to the first knuckle. Once I get in the device I have just under .5" of space until the tip of the device. Is that too big? With the 1.75 or 2" ring I would wake up at night with a burning feeling at the base of my scrotum where the ring is.

While wearing the device with the smallest ring I decided to watch some porn. Holy shit! It was painful. My cock and balls killed as i got hard. I had to turn the porn off. Teaches me ;)

I also want to try wearing a strap on harness while locked up and fuck my wife with a big black cock attached to the harness. Anyone else done that or can recommend a good harness for men?

I think there might be some risk of long-term damage from circulation being cut off. If the cage portion is too tight, you might also get some edema, but I have yet to figure out if that's dangerous or not. But I think these things aren't too likely unless you have a bad fit and start ignoring it. Until you know exactly how the cage works with your anatomy, I suggest you pay close attention to your wedding tackle and address any problems right away. The most likely issues you'll encounter are all resolvable in the short term.

Your base ring shouldn't allow you to fit more than one finger past the first knuckle under it even when you are completely flaccid, according to what I have heard. I would think you'd need a little room, though, to allow for circulation. If it's so tight pee won't come out, I'd say that's definitely too tight. If pinching or burning sensations are your only issue, address it with some kind of lubricant instead of by going bigger.

I have not fucked with a strap-on harness yet, but I recently acquired one with this very fantasy in mind. It's a Spare Parts Deuce (http://www.myspare.com/product/deuce). It's comfortable, fits perfectly, and seems to hold a dildo very well. I plan to post in detail about it when I have time. This harness is spendy, though, and I don't know how it compares to other harnesses on the market.

is there long term damage
people have been doing this for a whole lotta years. If there were long term damage we'd know about it. Before starting this journey we went to the urologist and he said if fitted properly you're going to be fine. If not fitted properly you run the risk of circulation issues and edema.
How should the ring fit?
The base ring should be slightly snug and you should be able to fit your index finger under to the first knuckle. I don't mean fit under by smashing your shaft ands shoving it under, it should fit under. From what it sounds like to me, of the rings you have, you need the 1.75". If you go custom you may be able to go between 1.5 & 1.75.
I have just under .5" of space until the tip of the device. Is that too big?
You really want the tip of the cage to be right up against the head of your penis. So if you have .5" of room at the end, you want a custom cage .5-.75" shorter than that cage.
Anyone else done that or can recommend a good harness for men?
Yes, we use a regular harness, the lock or post can hurt but we are looking at getting one like this: http://www.stockroom.com/Mens-Dildo-Harness-P321.asp

If a base ring is to tight usually the sack will change color drastically and it will start to feel cooler than normal. If you're not experiencing either of these I would say there's not to much concern.

A too small of gap can cause problems as well. Try the base ring alone for a day and night. If everything is okay, and the "too tight" feeling returns when the cage is on, it's probably a gap problem. With your device I don't think much can be done about that.

The burning underneath is probably a lube problem. Before going to bed put some silicone lube or other type of long lasting lotion. The nocturnal erection causes the cage to pull the base ring and I'd guess this is causing your burning sensation without lube.

If your uncut I think you're about right on the cage length. If your cut, and you decide to get a custom device, the penis end should be at or close to the end. With an "off the shelf" device you're going to be lucky to get a fit like this. For now, don't worry about this.

I think everyone experiences a certain amount of discomfort, or odd feelings when starting. If something just doesn't feel right, take it off. Until you learn what is normal wearing a device don't try to tough it out. Hardly anyone puts their first device on and it's perfect.

There's going to be a learning period for just about any device. By the time I got the CB6000s I had six years and four different CB devices experience. I still fiddled with it for a week to get the fit I wanted. Be patient and it will come together.

My experience is that the smallest ring you can get on is almost certainly going to be too tight. Lady M's suggestion is a good one. In terms of the cage, it should always have the tip of your weenie touching. The measuring instructions on Mature Metal are perfect for cage length. My cage fits like it was made for me...oh yes, it was. Many people second guess the measurements. Post your measurement from the underside where your weenie joins your scrotum to the tip. Measure a lot of times and give us the shortest. I may be able to suggest a cheap Chinese cage the right length. No promises, but I have done some research and trial-and-error testing. My cage fits so well (on the first try!) that I am not aware it is there most of the time. Erections are not painful, they just make me a bit chubbier inside the cage and there is a very slight pull away from my body. when it subsides, the ring is right back where it belongs. I have the Jail Bird. It is very effective and comfortable.
