Painful scrotum skin

Post by Velth »

Hi Guys,

I've had my CB3K for just over a week and I've noticed that when it's on, my scrotum skin becomes very sensitive and painful to the touch. This isn't a particular area of skin I.E. where the base ring or tube contact, it's over the whole scrotum.

Generally, touching it is ok, it's only when I rub or stroke the skin it feels like a burning sensation or like I'm dragging a needle across the skin. It still happens even if I use the largest ring and spacer combo.

While wearing the device under jeans I'm fine, there's no probs with pain. But if I go to adjust and touching moves the skin, then it hurts.

Sitting, walking, driving, sleeping, etc cause no discomfort apart from the occasional pinch (which I would expect seeing what I have bolted on me).

Anyone have any ideas what this might be? For lube on the base ring I've used baby oil, skin moisturiser and silicon based lube and the problem persists so they don't seem to be causing it.

I had this in the beginning, and sometimes, for short periods, now.

I attribute it to the skin being stretched, and by being rubbed against your underwear in ways and places that it was never rubbed before.

It should subside, but be prepared to go without the device for some time when the pain becomes too much.
This should be fun, after all, not pain.

The only time I have had a similar problem is when the gap was too small or if I had a very intense nocturnal erection.

The only thing that comes to mind is to make sure that the ring is perfectly smooth. I had a solid ring for my (old style) CB-3000 and it seemed fairly smooth but wasn't. I don't remember now exactly the discomfort but I know sanding it down with very fine sandpaper and then polishing it with a little rubbing compound on a dremel buffing wheel eliminated it.

Good luck

Hi and welcome to the club! I had this once and found that using a lube on the cuff ring and a litte on my skin helped. I used a silicone lube called gun oil. I assume you have shaved the skin too.. Hardons make the problem worse but it was definitley caused by the skin not being able to move easily in the cuff ring area. When driving or sitting the skin didn't move so much and therefore didn't pinch/burn so much. Gun Oil was a saviour, I thought that I would have to abandon the idea.

A quality metal cage which I now have is sooooooo much better it has to be experienced to believe it. The CB xxxxx's are good but I find harder to wear and had to come off every day for cleaning too.

I've been using Gun Oil for a few days now and there's no difference that I've noticed. I put some on the base ring and on the bottom half of the tube entrance. I'm not shaved but I have trimmed down. At the moment I'm giving it a couple days to relax before trying again. Maybe it is being over stretched as I am high and tight.

My KH is on the forum and you've probably seen the few posts she's made. Her name is Mist.

I could try sanding the rings but I won't be able to buff as I don't have a dremel or anything similar. Any recommendations on the type and grit of paper to use?

I too am 'high and tight' but have not had the issue you describe. I don't know what the others think but I think you need to do a full shave to ensure no trapping is occuring, unless of course you know for sure that is not the problem. Hope you get it sorted! Good luck.

I would use a 2000 grit sand paper for metal and paint. This type of sand paper is made to use water as a lubricant when sanding. Make sure to keep the paper wet. The paper will almost feel like it has no grit. Any automotive store should have this in their paint section. This paper is used to buff out light scratches in auto paint. These are made for metal, so remember not to apply a lot of pressure. When you sand on these don't expect the shine to return. You will only be able to make it smoother.

Don't try any polishing componds for cars. They have a petroleum base and might affect the plastic.

Velth,

It might also be that your scrotum is simply stretching a little. If you get blueballs occasionally from wearing the device, especially at night, your scrotum will fill with blood and stretch. I know that my scrotum is a little looser than it used to be. I believe it's stretched a little. It could be that you're going through that, and it will get more comfortable over time.

600 grit is fine enough for this, and can be found more easily. I don't get the same level of irritation, but when I do, I attribute it to not enough lubricant. BTW, baby oil works for me, YMMV.
