Of course, everyone's miles will vary, but in the case of my Belle, she not only likes the Steelheart *way* better than the CB6K, she also likes it better than what it typically contains. One of those BCWYWF situations.

I was thinking 'hardware' but as it's worn your take on it may be the more correct.

I think they both make sense, but I lean toward "ware".

Good enough for me! To the Lexicon!

Do you reckon the Steelheart and DCR sharing the same A-ring/lock will work?

I'm optimistic. I was basically told to upgrade and she's already calling it a 'Sweetheart'.

The gap in the device is determined largely by the postion of the female half of the integrated lock attached to the A-ring. If it's higher up on the ring (like on my SH), the gap will be less. If it's lower down on the face of the ring, the gap will be more. As I said in my write-up, the gap in the DCR is necessarily bigger than the SH. Therefore, it may not be desirable for the A-ring to be interchangeable (though I'm sure they could be made to be).

You can see this position vs. gap thing really well in this picture: http://denyingthumper.files.wordpress.c ... -47-pm.jpg

Thanks for that. 

Obviously there will be a compromise between the 2 as it's quite a difference. Hopefully in a couple of weeks I'll find out.

It can, mine does. I use the same base ring for both.

I'd suggest mentioning it to Dietmar when you order just to make sure. I had a problem with the compatibility of rings a while back.

It's part of the original order and cost an extra €60. It took a couple of emails to clarify what I was after; partly due to the language barrier (my German is limited to putting 'ze' in every sentence) but we got an accord eventually.

@Atone: once again, thankyou.
