ummmm... I think there are as many reasons for doing it as there are people doing it.. I wonder why people try to put everthing into neat little classifications?

What do you call those charts with 3 overlapping circles? Not just neat little categories. Combinations. Someone will post. A question. A story. Someone else will reply, do it differently. Fer example, if I want to be unlocked, I don't want to be denied. If I want to earn an unlock, I don't want the misses to set a date. Someone will answer that way! To stay denied or set a date or whatever. Inevitably.

These 3 flavors are good ways to think about what we do. & to understand which game someone else is playing. I read Giles's blog. & now I think about which game others are playing. Tom Allen has questioned setting dates. Mayhaps this helps explain it some.

However, I am 100% with the definition of chayste until the last statement. No I do not want out of the belt, ever, although practical matters overrule this. I do not see this as an act of submission at all. Indeed, it is my choice, and to me it is an act of empowerment. It allows me to exercise more control over my sexuality by establishing cessation of my orgasmic function.

And keys - no keys? Really? This is silly. I hold the keys. My wife holding the keys would just make things more complicated. Even though I can wear mine in public and to work and nobody will be the wiser, I can't work out or hit the gym with it on, and I work out every day. We're never letting me out for any sex play, so key-holding makes no sense for us. So keys are irrelevant but sanity overrides.
