from...
I grew up in New York (Long Island) but have lived in Maine for 30 years. I was landlocked in Illinois for two years and while Chicago is a nice city, I am sorry, Lake Michigan is
not the same thing as the Atlantic Ocean. LOL. (Except for those years in IL, I have always lived within a few miles of the ocean.)

I am from England originally, though I've been in the US for quite a while now. Still have my accent though

Most people know I'm from Connecticut, and grew up near New Haven, the *real* capital of the state.

We're in the Pacific Northwest - wet side of the Cascades.
Completely agree with Dev - don't want to live away from the ocean. Plus it keeps the temperature within reasonable bounds.

Thank you, I am graphically challenged so I am quite proud of that. Once I saw we could have avatars here I had to make one.
btw, that is the original one. The key for the second one is 150 miles away and I don't think unlocking for a picture would be considered 'necessary'. If I was a little less lazy I would post about that.

Same here. We've shuttled back and forth between Seattle and Portland for work the last few years. Kids are old enough now that we need to pick a place and settle down.
