OK, I'm a little slow tonight I guess. What's this "club" thing all about?

my reading of the earlier posts was that it was just a couple of guys that were not going to be allowed release until after the first of the year. There was an invitation to 'join the club'.

I am opposed to any sort of 'club' on this forum. This is already a small enough of a group, the last thing we need is tiers of membership. I feel that even though we are all at different places in our journey with chastity and we practice it in very different ways we all have a common bond. For me that bond is the 'reality' of it for each of us. We each bring our real life experiences, anxieties, and problems to the table. That is the bond that is important to me.

The "club" idea could easily devolve into a competition, based on what I've seen on other web forums.

That said, when I first saw the expression upthread, my first thought was of the "Club Med" idea that somebody going by the name of ptathuk illustrates in his captioned pictures. He envisions a getaway spot in which women learn to become (better?) keyholders.

For some reason, the search term "chastity captions" gives quite a few hits on my blog, which has a link over to his.

I was thinking along the lines of what Tom was saying. The LAST thing I'd want would be a "see who can stay chaste the longest" sort of thing.

Instead, I was thinking of more like ANY other kind of club....where they have certain initiation rituals or assignments (some just have fees), they have certain monthly responsiblities or "dues", various "work" has to get done, volunteers, etc.

In most clubs the officers (or administrators) make determinations as to the members' worthiness for the club.

Imagine the creative and fun things......

But I don't want an assignment and I don't want any responsibilities. At least, not to y'all. This is all so personal to each couple. Yes, there's some overlap from person to person, but at the end of the day, it works for each of us the way it works. I *certainly* don't want anyone judging my worthiness (nor do I want to judge anyone else's).
