Pull Out

Hi all,

I was wondering - just how snug should the base ring fit? I imagine it should not be easy to get into it, and it should be even more difficult to get out. Is the anti-pullout option worth it? Is it more easy than not to pull out otherwise? I know no device is perfect, and the mind is the most potent chastity device, but I would like it to be as difficult as possible to free myself.

You want the base ring to be snug, but it only takes a millimeter or two to go from "snug" to "uncomfortable." Ab's ring on the Jailbird and Watchful Mistress is 1 3/4" and that seems to be the best fit for him. He has a 1 5/8" ring that he can wear but if he tries to attach it to a device it feels too small and tight.

We did buy the anti-pullout pins for the Jailbird. He wore the short, blunt one for about 24 hours then asked me to take it out. He said it felt like a pebble in his shoe. It was small and annoying. Not painful but it reminded him that the Jailbird was on and not necessarily in a good way. He also wasn't sure that it was much of a pull-out deterrent.

I'll be honest. Ab doesn't seem to be one of those guys who is constantly trying to get out of his device. Maybe that's because he knows he has a short break everyday, he doesn't feel the need to be getting at himself. ::shrugs:: He told me last night that his desire to masturbate seems to be waning. Not because he doesn't like it anymore but more because he's getting enough other sexual stimulation, with me. Why masturbate when you have the real thing? seems to be his philosophy of the moment. He also knows that I am in a better mood when he's locked, so that is another incentive to not try to get out of his device.

NB: Just so you know...unless you order the device with the hole for the pull-out pins, it won't have a hole. The default style is not to have a hole in that spot.

By base ring do you mean the base of the cage or the ring around your testes?

The teste ring (often called the base ring or 'A' ring) needs to be big enough to allow a night time erection without causing unhealthy constriction. I don't think this ring could be snug enough to prevent a pull out.

The opening of the cage will affect the ability to pull out and get back in. The snugger it is the harder it will be. I don't think the cage could be snug enough to prevent pull out. I could probably pull out but would have a really hard time getting back in. That is without the anti-pullout pin in place. With the anti-pullout pin in place (any of them but even the shortest) I could probably still get out but I might not be able to get back in.

The downside to the anti pullout pin is comfort. During the day they are fine. Even the longer more aggressive profiles are fine. At night during a nocturnal erection they can be unbearable, or nearly so, even the short blunt one. I had the short one in for three days recently and after the third day it just had to come out.

The snugger the cage the less necessary the anti-pullout pin is. With my larger cage I actually liked the pin in place because it helped keep everything in the cage during the day when I was at my smallest. With the small cage I mostly just use them for fun. If you aren't in to CBT or similar things you probably wouldn't consider it to be much fun.

Yes, I meant the ring that fits around the testes. I am ordering the sizing rings today. That should help me figure it out.

Dev: I'm torn between the Jailbird and the Watchful Mistress. We can't get them both so I have to decide. I like the look of the Jailbird more, but the Mistress covers more which is appealing too. I have a very sensitive frenum (I can cum just by rubbing it) and it looks like the Mistress will cover that part. If you and your husband could only have one then which one would you choose?

The best rule of thumb I've heard regarding A-ring size is that you should be able to just get a finger through the ring when you're soft. Even then, though, that allows for a great deal of variability.

I can't recall your specific situation, but if the JB is your first device, I'd err on a *slightly* larger size until your body adjusts to wearing it. You'll have a slightly less secure device, but it will be much more comfortable at night when you experience your strongest and most persistent erections. The ring you can wear comfortably on day one will seem downright huge a year later. You can either order two rings up front (a starter ring and your permanent ring) or get a new one 6-12 months in.

If you and your husband could only have one then which one would you choose?

That's a tough question! I am actually glad we have both devices. I think of the Jailbird as "the classic" and the Watchful Mistress is good for "dress up." It looks dressier to me--all that shiny metal--plus it has the screw so it is streamlined. I definitely want to get the hole on the JB threaded for a screw. I have all the info I need to do it, and the tools. Just a matter of finding the time.

While Ab says they are both comfortable, I think that overall, the JB is a tiny bit more comfortable for him. One, it is 1/4" longer so that makes it just a little roomier and not so confining. Two, the open design with the rods is a bit more comfortable than the flat bar. I don't think he's gone more than 24 hours straight in the WM, but he did wear the JB for 12 days in a row when we first got it.

So I guess, if I had to pick one or the other, it would be the Jailbird.

Yep, that's it. The scrotum stretches from regularly being used as leverage against the erection. When I first started, a 50mm ring seemed tight. Now I'm wearing a 40mm and it's just right.

Note that this doesn't keep going forever. My erection is not much less than 40mm around and that seems to be the absolute minimum (plus a little room for the scrotum).

Like Thumper, I found that my scrotum stretched a bit over time, and I had to switch to a smaller ring.
