You asked in a comment (on the blog) what I was going to do with Ab when I got him in the Humbler. I said, make his butt glow red and you replied that while a glowing red butt would be nice, it really looked like his balls would be exposed and ready for some action. Even though I *do* like it (a lot), I don't *always* like it. I find I'm much more open to it after I'm well and truly warmed up. Even then, it's best to start slow and gentle and ratchet it up over time (which is sounds like you were doing). We have worked up the routine over many years and have figured out what works and what doesn't. There is good pain and there is bad pain. The good is very, very good and puts you in the position thumper described where you are actually pushing out and trying to get in an even more vulnerable position. The bad just plain hurts, in a that might be causing damage kind of way. The strange thing is that the force involved isn't the determining factor. It is all about the process, the work up, the mental state.
