The 40 day period of abstinence for Christians beings 22nd February (Ash Wednesday). Nothing like a bit of Righteous Chastity!

(And a couple of months after Lent finishes there's Ramadan!)

Does Valentines Day to April Fools Day count? Lent is 46 days, February 22 to April 7. Close enough?

I mentioned in my reply to Al6666 in his post Unusual Game that we set dates. We set seven dates this year. Meant to post what we're up to. Probably will later.

I gotta mention. I donated blood yesterday. Three days before Valentines Day. After in the cantina, I see their sign. If you just donated today, you're next donation date is April 7th. Huh! Kind of coincidental for me. Hard to explain my reaction to the other donors.

Just worked it out. I can donate every eight weeks. Those dates aren't so different from what we planned for the year. Donate a pint...

Release fluid from one extemity and then the other. What a week it will be!
