Before i ask my questions i think its only polite to give a small introduction of myself. First off, im a 24 year old male that has long had fantasies that some would consider "not normal". With my past relationships i have always been game for just about anything and trying new things that didn't involve extreme pain or blood. Since i have no desire to locked in a actual belt style chastity device i started to wonder what i could do. Fortunately i found that there is a PA attachment for the steelworxx belts which is convenient since i just so happened to have a PA. But still i found problems with this. Even tho one could technically not get out of a setup like this i have found videos showing that people can withdraw themselves about 3/4 the way out of the tube since the PA can just follow up along the wire (i believe it was denying Thumpers blog). The more i thought about it i still like the thought of the CB not being able to slip off in the least bit, the tip of my penis being locked at the end of the tube with absolutely no way of even withdrawing it even partially. I have seen pictures of people who have modded CB with small padlocks at the end to go through their PA but they seem clumsy and most likely uncomfortable, in one instance a guy stated he could only wear it like this for short periods of time because it the loose lock pulled and pinched the skin around the piercing which is a big turn off for me since i am not one for pain. Im looking for a solution that could possible be worn for an extended period of time while being completely comfortable.

But this then brings me to my other issue is what to do with the key. Since i have a job and a lifestyle that could at any time require me to be "bare" so to speak, i cant just mail the key away. And i also don't think finding a 2nd party keyholder would work either since i would need near immediate access to the key to be able to remove the device. I know the string and ice trick would work well for short term chastity, however i feel it would be to easy to give in and just run it under hot water.

Any advice you could give a new guy would be much appreciated.

WRT to PA security, yes, I have posted videos of how far I can withdraw and, yes, I can get about 3/4 of the way out before being stopped. Essentially, that's total security (assuming you don't want to count what can be done with power tools). Not wanting to be able to withdraw in the slightest is just person preference. I get that, but in my experience, it's not practical. When I tried to secure my PA ring from the outside of a CB6K using a cable, I found the constant low level pressure applied to my piercing to be intolerable. Since I was in the standard tube and not the short version, the penis was constantly trying to withdraw up the tube and the cable, obviously, wouldn't allow it. I eventually gave up and that led to the development of the PA fixing I have now.

All that being said, it's possible that if you were wearing a tube that was short enough so that your dick wouldn't want to withdraw any further than the end of it, you might be able to secure it down there in the way you want without pain. If it were me, I'd try that with the CB6K short since a custom stainless device is a lot to gamble just to try it out. I would NOT do an actual lock though the ring and would instead think about securing through a ring from the outside (like with a cable).

WRT key holding, you got me. Is there *no one* in your life who could hold it for you, even if they didn't know what they were holding?

Thumper you bring to light some good points concerning comfort and possibly safety concerning security in a CB. That being said i think i would go the rout you took and use the PA fixing. Comfort is a big deal to me, i understand the aspect that being a CB you should always know that you are locked away and never "fully" comfortable, which is what i want, however i feel with how you described it that it would be a little to much.

As for what type of CB i want, as of right now i am kind of in love with the steelheart (as it seems the majority of people on this forum are). I am looking a t a steel device because the last time i "tried" chastity it was with a CB3K and either their was a defect in the product or i just a have a thick member and burst it apart at the seams, even after attempting to super glue it back together, it still gave way again. That being said, i am almost certain im not going to just be "trying" anything and am going to be reguarly incorporating this into my lifestyle.

The issue i am having with the key is not only am i in a position where on any given day i would need to remove the belt (discretely of course) but i at the moment have a trust issue that i am currently working on (thanks to two previous relationships gone horribly wrong). I am not saying that i am not completely willing to hand over a key to a KH once i am ready (while still having one in one of the little safes), its just that i would feel infinity more comfortable if a 2nd party was not involved in the key holding process (no offense to anyone here) and find some other solution where i could not regularly access they key in a moment of weakness, but still have access to it in a true time of need without repercussion. As of right now i don't need an immediate solution as i am going to be starting off slow to get accustom to the CB (that is when i scrounge up the funds to purchase one ). And hopefully my situation will have changed by then and either i have grown to trust more or i have someone in my life i can hand the key to.

Anyways to another serious question. How would you go about finding out what size A ring to get with your belt? I understand its more based on the feel for each different person. But i don't have money flying out the wazzoo to blow on 4 different rings. It would be nice to alt least have a starting point. Would taking a string and measuring behind the balls give a good baseline? Or do you find that kind of measurement impractical? I'm only looking for a place to start and make adjustments from there.

Typically, I advise determining a baseline with a plastic device and starting from there, but you're not in that position. String might be your best bet, but if you're like me (and most other guys), your starting size will not be where you settle in the end. When I first started in the CB6K, I could barely wear the 2" ring. That's about 50mm. Compared to now where the Steelheart I wear has a 40mm ring. Seriously, that would have killed me in the first few months.

Frankly, if you're going right to steel, I don't see how you're going to avoid buying more than one ring. I'd measure with a string around your cock and balls and divide that by 3.14159 to get your diameter. Then, I'd probably go down a bit. Be sure you're not all worked up when doing this. You want a flaccid measurement. Then, do the same for your shaft. *Not* at all pudgy. Jack off first if you have to. Then, get the normal flaccid length (not at all erect but not all shriveled up either). You can work directly with Dietmar at Steelworxx using those measurements to determine the best fit to start out with.

I'm a big fan of the anatomical ring. I've tried two different sizes and wish I still had both. Different story as to how it lost one of them. With the flat rings, I've always found that I get that evil burning sensation right at the base of my balls. (is there a name for that?). The anatomical ring provides just a wee bit more space for your scrotum to squeeze through, which did the trick for me.

The downside is that you increase the risk of one of your balls popping back through the ring. Which, in my case, sounds more painful than it is. Mostly just a nuisance. The problem can come when the other ball pops through and the device falls down your pants and on to the floor. Fortunately I've not had to deal with that as my PA holds it in place just fine.

After doing some browsing it seems that people who started out with the normal ring and made the move to the anatomical ring are the ones having the most issues with it. To me this makes sense since it looks to move things around and "change the game" so to speak. I am still a little bit on the fence about it. I don't wish for a situation as you described and ruin the esperience. As of this moment i am leaning slightly more toward the standard ring, but this is easily subject to change if some more information comes to light.

As a side note, i have also been entertaining the thought of adding the detachable penis plug to the mix once i make my order. My only concern is how it works with a PA, and what peoples experiences with it have been.

I don't have the detachable penis plug but I do have the fixing with penis plug for one of mine.

I don't see any way that either one could work with a PA unless it was modified like the ones from steelworks extreme (different manufacturer altogether).

It makes cleaning much more difficult. With the fixing with penis plug there is still a little room at the tip to get water / soap in and out of the device while it is being worn. I also would experience "leakage" around the plug when I urinated. This wasn't a problem with the fixing because there was still an opening for it to drain from. The way the plug appears to work it would pretty well seal the opening. I don't see how any leakage would have a way out.

I'd also advise against iceblocking your key if you need out. I've had keys snap due to weakness (metal fatigue or whatever the engineering term is for brittleness) when frozen so if you have to get out quickly it's not a good way on an expensive device.

(Although I suspect most of us could crush a CBxxxx like a handful of walnuts if we had to.)
