Suggestions for a potential beginner

Hi, I'm new here, I tried to look for similar threads but couldn't find any. At the moment I'm quite curious about chastity and I'm seriously thinkinf of buying a cb. As a matter of fact I was thinking of buying a cheap one, which most people advise against, but since I am still not sure I don't want to waste too much money.
I am single so I wouldn't have a kh, maybe I would look for someone online, but it's not really important to me since I would use it for hours and never go outside with it, at the beginnin at least.
I would like to hear what this community would suggest to a beginner like me, if you can tell me something about your first experiences and the way you started this if single like me (and not asked for by wife/gf).
Then would like to know whether I should take a plastic one or a silicone one. I saw people complaining about silicone, but I thought it would be better for a beginner.
Can anybody help me?

Many of us here (including me) started out with one of the CB series. Some have moved onto steel and others are comfortable sticking with plastic. IMO, if you are just trying it out to see if you will want more 'wearing time' in the future I would try one of the knock off CB's. You will save some money and the CB's are very adjustable in size. Just keep in mind that there may be some issues with regards to the quality of the product and long term wear could create issues with your skin.

I have never tried one of the silicone devices but like you I have read of people not being happy with them.

Either the CB6000 or the CB6000s would be my recommendation depending on your average flaccid length.

I started off years ago with the original CB2000. It was a lousy device. Too painful to wear for long periods. I then invested in a CB3000 (I think that was the name) and it was much better but too big for me and the rings were painful. I next stepped up to a CB6000 and found it much improved but the tube was too big (I'm on the short and thin side down there)...so I bought the 6000s (short version) and it was another big improvement for me. Recently I bought the Holy Trainer short version and it is by far the most comfortable I have worn. I can wear this device non-stop for weeks at a time.

I went through the same line of devices, except I tried the curve, that Happywomanajl did. I ended with a Mature Metal instead of a Holy Trainer. A custom device that anyone gets is usually the one that they are the happiest with.

By the way happywomanajl, I thought the CB2000 was a great device. I loved the open design way better than the 3000's or 6000's. I wished they would take the base rings from them and make the cage for the 2000.

Locked by LRC...it was a long time ago at this point...but I remember that the design of the cage piece would cause a crunching of my testicles when they became tight. My testicles can get very high and tight and so my challenge with all devices has been the pressure they cause. The HT seems to resolve that problem satisfactorily.

With a little creativity you could make the key(s) [temporarily] unavailable***, and then watch whatever flavor of porn trips your trigger.

***(Freezing in a large block of ice, mailing them to yourself, leaving them at work or some other remote location, taping under a table/counter/bar at a restaurant or pub, etc., maybe doing something different with each key, so that if one is completely inaccessible at some point there is another alternative. With a little imagination there are all kinds of things you could do. You could even leave the lock open, place the keys wherever, then return home and put on the device and close the lock )
