Just wanted to start a placeholder for my thoughts, per the rules, so I would have someplace to go when the urge hits me. I hope you enjoy reading along!

My apologies to everyone who has visited only to find the first placeholder entry! I hadn't intended to build 'click bait' so as such, feel somewhat obligated to write more sooner rather than later.

Again, not sure where to start but the most current news is that she has been cleared to post as a non-newbie! Which means now we can PM here and talk about things in yet another venue. While right now she probably won't be posting much on this side, she intends to engage with other KHs (so look for those on the other side!) about this journey I've introduced her to...and get more information about being a KH from those who have more experience.

As to where we've been, it will probably be up to me to describe. However, where we're going will (hopefully) be more of a team effort. I'm not sure if at some point she'll feel comfortable enough to take the lead and run with it, but I'm enjoying the developments as they happen at the pace we're keeping. And I hope she is as well.

I've recently described to her the physical challenges of what 'locked life' is like (getting to work via truck or motorcycle, the bathroom experience that wearers are so intimately familiar with, what it feels like, etc) and she's asked me to next relate the mental side...why do I like this, what does it mean to me, what do I want from it, etc. So that's likely my next email to her. As for here...I'll probably go back a ways and move forward. But for now, bed...all snug and secure (day 69 of 96 in 2019... and this time around, day 5, so far).

There's something satisfying about leading a 'normal' life with everything in place and unnoticeable.

Fri and weekends are jeans days at work, but things get a bit crowded down there in them. The DHGate device we're currently using is an open cage design which allows parts and pieces to sometimes protrude, mostly through the tip, and the chaffing against the denim can be quite attention grabbing. To fight the spontaneous distractions, going commando is put off for another day in another setting.

Instead, the cotton barrier or boxer briefs and the tucked in undershirt or t-shirt act as a buffer. But in doing so (tucked in), they also make things crowded vs just the jeans. But on the other weekdays, dress pants with silk boxers let everything hang naturally, well, as naturally as having it on is 'natural.' And it sort of disappears into the day. Standing, sitting, walking...all without distraction.

But yet, there are moments. When the weight sways, or bunches up enough to register on my consciousness, I remember it's there. And why. And what that means to me, and what I think it means to her.

We'll have to talk some more about that, just so there's no confusion between us.

[focused] down the road we go...

I wanted to go back in time a bit and discuss one of the previous devices I tried, the first. It was several years ago now but hopefully some aspects won't be too difficult to dredge up from the dark dusty corners...

The Birdlocked (Version 1; I believe there is a V2 out now), either the Classic or the Mini (maybe not the Mini, based on the result). It was always a pain to try to get the boys to cooperate when going through the silicone base ring. I think this was partly due to how wide it was, to accommodate the plastic strap that tied everything together. Trying to get enough skin through first so that each one would have someplace to go after the forced entry was difficult and sometimes painful until everybody was in place. Definitely was easier shaved than when not; too many things pulling at the wrong times while au naturale.

The bottom 'rail' that tied the tip to the bottom of the base acted as a sort of separator, something that I have pondered sometimes while in our current predicament as being an attractive option. Tucking in after the boys were in place sort of secured everything and wasn't too difficult, even when the unavoidable stimulation of putting on the device caused untimely reactions.

The silicone wasn't uncomfortable; I actually wore the device to work several times, both driving and riding the motorcycle. I don't recall using any lotion or other lubricant during the day. I do recall the amount of leakage that the device caused, and the skin pushing through the several holes in the device when things got enlarged, particularly at the tip due to the larger vertical opening located there. I found this to be the most painful, especially when it would get caught as it moved across underclothing, as others have mentioned with open air devices.

I didn't find it difficult to stretch the encompassing strap over the top to align the desired hole with the locking pin; the plastic was robust enough to take the pressure but trying to tighten it much beyond the circumference of the base ring was difficult, so proper sizing would be critical. There was some stretching of the hole but it never tore.

I used the standard small padlock at the time. As expected, it wasn't noisy; I don't remember any disturbing clicking noises against the silicone when walking in loose clothing.

Long term wear back then was only measured in short days, weekend or overnight a night or two. And being naive about proper sizing, after finding the device still properly fastened but having separated from my body overnight (shrinkage, what can I say...) I decided I wanted something more secure. There's something frustrating about intending to be locked up and then discovering that you're not, strange as that may sound.

I don't recall if I stopped wearing it because of the several unwanted nocturnal escapades or because I just lost interest but it went by the wayside, to be replaced at some future date by the CB-6000s, which was another story altogether.

Several topics have come up recently:

The thought of using an envelope to verify no key use while we're separated between visits. Right now it's based on the honor system, which I have honored, but that would kick it up a notch. I thought it was a good step forward and was anticipating the 'ceremonial' aspect of placing the keys in said envelope, handing them over, watching her write something distinct across the sealed flap and sitting back with a look of accomplishment on her face. Or maybe that's just how I imagined it would go...

And then there was an email about an electronic kitchen safe; aka time lock key storage. "I kind of like that idea...takes some of the pressure off of me having to decide when you come out. I'm all about reducing my pressure 😉. Let's give that some consideration when we are together...k?" Could it be that this is moving along faster than anticipated? That quote could probably go right into the 'Hot things your keyholder has said!' thread!

I'm not yet to the stage where BCWYWF would apply, and sometimes it doesn't feel 'real' because I haven't really had the urge to want out and not been allowed. But these latest developments definitely give me pause to think about the consequences of our actions, and what might become of the situation should things continue in the direction they're headed. Interesting times are ahead...of that I'm fairly certain!

Taking another jump back in time...

The replacement device to the aforementioned Birdlocked was a CB-6000s. I elected for the shorter version because I'd read several places that larger is not necessarily more comfortable, not to mention that I was trying to keep things as clandestine as possible. The package arrived shortly after ordering and had all of the assorted bits and pieces. I don't remember the base ring size I finally settled on but there were several possibilities.

Jumped right in on trying to figure out the proper fit with the emphasis being on the center pin spacer that determined the gap between the base ring and cage itself. I stuck with one that was fairly small, close to 1/4 or 3/8 inch rather than the 1/2.

The first 'mod' was to fill in the void on the base ring. The space between the two circular edges wasn't so much a factor on the rear side, but on the forward side, because of the tighter fit I preferred, the space ended up being filled by skin, and it left quite an impression after removal. The stickler though, was that it prevented freedom of movement while it was on and the skin was pressed into it. I mixed up some 5-min epoxy and tried to fill the area in and leave it with a little bit of a rounded finish that would give it more of a smooth presentation against skin.

It seemed to do the job; it at least allowed freedom of rotational movement from both the device and body sides of the equation.

The tube was about the right diameter (currently advertised at 1 3/8) and length. I seem to remember pressing quite a bit against the sides and the end both when things swelled. The side openings of the sheath portion didn't let too much skin get through but the end openings could get a bit 'touchy'; the sensitive parts always seemed to be the ones that got exposed.

Cleaning inside the sheath was a bit of a challenge; I didn't use the squirt bottle method, instead just tried to get soapy water in and rinsed back out. Long term wear for me back then was only a couple days at a time but that was enough. Again boxer briefs seemed to help hold everything secure, and lowered, so it wasn't obvious to the casual observer. The padlock could sometimes be heard clicking as it hit the poly-carbonate while walking and the two side pins were a bit long for the spacer I settled on. So I modified them by marking them and then shortening them so they didn't stick out past the upper plastic part of the sheath that they went through. The center pin was already the right length and kept the sheath against the lock and spacer.

There could be some pinching getting the back post (with the three pins) inserted into the two base ring holes and then getting the front insert and spacer on. There usually wasn't any issue with the sheath going onto the spacer but it wasn't a very big area to keep skin clear of, so that's probably why. The spanner pieces were longer/larger areas and usually were the source of the problem, but it wasn't overwhelming.

Everything seemed to be relatively good until the sheath split at the centerline. It had been tested on several occasions due to swelling, so it probably was only a matter of time. (like that Shawshank quote about escaping prison by breaking through rock...time and pressure, I think it was) I tried to superglue it back together and put a couple epoxy bridges across the seam in several places to try to reinforce it, but it didn't hold and was therefore useless after it came apart again. I wouldn't think I could generate that much force, but when you think about it, liquids aren't compressible (or negligibly so), so it makes sense. I wonder how many users end up in that situation and whether or not the manufacturer is responsive to the failure modes and/or willing to do something about it.

Experience number two, down the drain. So far, I'd learned that soft silicone wasn't the ticket, a wide (depth) single piece base ring was too difficult to keep stuffing the boys through, two part base rings pinch, and that hydraulic pressure was strong enough to break poly-carbonate when the seams are in the wrong place, or if there are seams at all. Can you tell the direction we're going here?

At least I had started to narrow down the gap and base ring size, as well as sheath/cage diameter and length to values that seemed to work for me.

Stay tuned for the next chapter...a bit of a step away from the chastity side of the house and more into the 'let's see what I can do with this' side. Thanks for reading!

Based on your description of the void in the ring, it sounds as though you bought one of the cheap counterfeits. The maker will not be responsive at all.

People who buy cheap fakes and report negative experiences should be sure to note that fact, so as to avoid damaging the reputation of the manufacturer of the genuine product.

Respectfully, I don't think I purchased a 'cheap fake'; at least based on the price and what I received compared to what's currently advertised, it was the real deal. But perhaps I didn't accurately describe the 'void'. It wasn't a manufacturing defect, as in a bubble/void in the poly base ring molding. It was a designed recessed area on the I-beam shaped (cross section) base ring, both in the front and back, that allowed skin to enter vs being a solid piece like a round bar (cross section) of plastic or steel would have been. If you picture an I-beam cross section, the void I was trying to describe would be the left and right sides of the vertical center. The base ring was this cross section shaped in a circle up until the attachment pins. The body side didn't have much effect, but the scrotum side was where the softer/stretchier skin pressed into from.

Maybe the 'genuine product' has a different cross section for the base rings, or maybe they've changed the design based on feedback on the previous design; this experience was back in 2011-12, so that's a real possibility.

Appreciate the comment; back to the blog...

[focused] down the road we go...

This week of night shifts has been, as always, a struggle just to get through, let alone making any effort to documentation here. But alas, it's finally over for another few weeks.

We were supposed to spend time together this evening but when I woke up this afternoon from a couple hours sleep, planning to drive S, I saw this text: Text me when you're up. Wanted to see if you could come down Wednesday instead of tonight?

Mixed emotions; I was mentally prepared to get up and drive two hours, help with some lawn work, have dinner, see what the night held, sleep and drive home in the morning; but I am still somewhat sleep deprived, so it was not a totally unwelcome gesture. I owe it to us to make it an earlier night so I'm better rested on Wed; she's already doing the same.

The 'count' is sort of still a 'thing' with us...okay, me...and delaying two more days puts me into double digits for only the third time. Some days it's amazing to me how comfortable I've become wearing a device, during the day at work, after work at home, sleeping, working out, etc. And my mind flips to that potential decision point in time, somewhere in the future, if/when she'll want to go even longer.

For now, she sees to it that I'm let out fairly regularly for her enjoyment. And that's just fine by me.

I was looking through Whats Everyones Favorite Flavor Of Porn? in the Member's Lounge and found this link:

https://www.pornhub.com/view_video.php? ... df772e3409

I sent it to her as an example of a ruined orgasm, without further comment. There are a few other videos on that same site that she looked around some at and I think one or two found their mark!

Last weekend provided an opportunity for a 'demonstration' of what she'd observed; I was the lucky demonstratee! Her hand technique was similar, yet her own; and her other hand was busy elsewhere as well. I was totally blown away! She stopped just a bit beyond what I think her objective was from watching the video, but the effect was spot on...I stayed erect and she continued for a bit then gave me that look.

There are times when we'll be knee deep in bedroom activities and she gets this look on her face. I think I know what's about to happen, but am never quite sure. Until, that is, she moves on top of me, and looking straight into my eyes, grabs me and guides me inside. This was one of those times...heaven!

We had talked about my ability to orgasm multiple times in the past, but hadn't ever gone there. I've discussed an advantage of a ruined orgasm being the ability to 'go again' but I don't think she was a believer.

Long story short, I believe she is now! It didn't take long until things were feeling very good; so good in fact, that I was worried she'd realize what was about to happen and tell me to stop. Those words never came, fortunately, because shortly thereafter, I did!

I was informed that the log needed to reflect what happened; and it has been updated accordingly.

I am truly enjoying this journey; I hope she is as well!
