I do have an off-topic question about your post-script: Do you worry about your safety if you have an accident or dump the bike? I have a similar experience with comfort while on my trainer, but am leery going out on the road. I've had too many friends get into some serious scrapes (though none of those scrapes were ever between their legs). Do you have concerns with this, or am I just being overly paranoid?

Thanks for your input. I'm a "fair-weather" cyclist for outdoor riding, and this hasn't come up yet for me, but spring is rapidly approaching in the American NW.
