phpFreeChat

Post by Chastehusband »

Hey There,

I usually log in of an evening to check out the forum. I notice there are usually a few people browsing. I wondered what your thoughts are on adding in a chat system to the site, I see godaddy offers phpFreeChat as an addon. If it costs money I'd be willing to fund it, but could be fun to have some real time chat in addition to the forums.

Thoughts?

This board has been so active this week I can't keep up as it is. Chat would take too much time for me that I just don't have.

Also, chat will potentially take some really good discussion off the board where it will not be retained for the benefit of others. I personally think it is too early in the life of this forum to introduce a chat feature.

Just my opinion,

I've used chat programs on a few sites and they seem to work well enough (easy to set up I hear) but I think I also like the history element. I almost never see anyone else active at the same time as myself, so I might miss out on more if it were not saved.
