the 9700 is out there. So if you are in a hurry, go get one .
I dont think that the drivers are that much an issue with the new Radeon series.
We dont know yet, what will be the quality of the NV30 drivers.
The only think i can tell you, if you dont need one VD in the next month, is, wait & see

For me being a heavy guy in anycase, I will look at durability, with a dash or weight and of course it mustnt look to shite... Because of two reasons: I am not competitive and only require the use of the equipment for my own pleasure and enjoyment I want something that works well and that will last ...
