Looking more & more at metal device(s)

Well, after 1 1/2 months, my CB-6000s split along the bottom seam. Was going to glue it back together today, but alas, my son had used up all the crazy glue in the house 
Was going to drive up to Home Depot to get another tube, but my car was blocked in by gardening stuff 
On a different tack, am seriously considering making the switch to a metal device - either the Mature Metal Jailbird or the Watchful Mistress. If I recall, it was michaelnmelissa's review/comments of the WM that piqued my interest in that device. Am considering the JB only because, with the open design, it might be just a bit easier to keep things clean.
