Stainless Steel Cage A224

Post by Dixon A Cage »

I'm considering getting this as a second starter cage (the first one was less than wonderful). What do you folks think?

Of course, there's always this:

Maybe my recent thread will be of some help...

Thanks for the link to that thread. Very informative. After reading it, I'm leaning toward getting this one, but if the lock is loose, I think those pins would come right out while wearing.

That's also my concern, and I don't see a good way to tighten that whole area up on it. I'll likely go with the padlocked version despite my want to do away with the padlock. I may see about threading it for a screw and countersinking the hole.

I was thinking the same, but just slapping an Allen bolt through there. If you do this, could you post images?

The only sticking point is that 30 mm seems kinda small, which might be a good thing. ;)

The 30mm inner diameter of the cage? That's not so bad. As long as you can manage to stay calm! That's about what my HT is. Its the shorter length I'm after. I am very much a grower. I have fairly dramatic swings in size through the course of a day. If I get a cage that fits the smaller range of my average, the rest will be no issue I assume.
