Urethral insert vs without

Post by LockedTexan »

I've been eyeing up a device available on Amazon that is made of stainless steel and available with or without the urethral tube. The devices are identical otherwise.

This one:

And this one:

They also have basically the same setup available just one "ring" shorter, also with or without the insert. I have been considering that one too. My HT short is honestly a bit long. My thought its to get these and be able to compress the length until it's comfortable.

I currently wear a HTv1 short now and want to try metal and these appear to be a decent option without hinged rings and some of the other "Chinese metal" downfalls.

What is the general consensus of going with Vs without the urethral insert? From a practicality standpoint. Urination in my HT has always proven to be challenging to put it nicely. It would be welcomed to be able to pee without the chance of needing a shower and change of clothes afterwards haha. This is why the insert looks appealing. I've dabbled with sounding so it's nothing new there.

Thoughts?

The first one is similar to the A080 that I've been wearing (I've got a post about it in this forum a few threads down), and I think that it's fine.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't trust the urethral plugs/sounds/inserts enough to wear them for extended periods, simply because the soft tissue inside is, well, softer than the skin outside. I could be wrong, and if someone could point to the safety, then that would be great.

As far as my A080 goes, the flat, wide cuff ring makes it a lot more "secure" with respect to sliding around, and the device is definitely the most secure that I own. I'm not saying that pullout isn't possible, but even in the shower with a lot of soap, it is not easily accomplished (that is, I haven't done it yet, but also have not put huge amounts of effort into it).

I also wear this with no lube, which makes the skin "stick" to the metal a bit more, so that's also a factor.

The thought in the back of my head says having something that keeps the urethra "open" makes you more susceptible to problems in general (infections etc)

Part of the concern is also part of what I like about it. The front is so wide open that it looks like you could easily get any loose skin pinched while wearing it. I'm cut, but the glans still has soft very sensitive skin when not engorged, erect or not.

I've checked out your modifications. Good job on that for sure. I imagine I'll be making some changes to basically anything I get. It stings less at $30-40 than a few hundred though...

Also one draw to this one was the fairly ergonomic "look" of the A ring. Similar to the HT I have. That's one thing I do enjoy about mine.

Different lock, slightly larger cage diameter. Cage / ring gap could be a problem - especially for the smaller base rings.

There is a longer and shorter version

Tag for anything I've written about it:
https://vanillaedge.wordpress.com/category/a080/

It's nice to experiment on devices that cost $30 instead of $300.

I do like the lock system on that one better than a pad lock. I want to get away from the padlock honestly.

I'll have to check out the next length longer than that one however. I don't mind snug, but I believe that will be too short all together. Thanks for posting that!!!

If this one had some shape to the ring, I'd buy it right damn now!

LockedTexan The ring does have a round shape. What kind of shape are you looking for?

The more fitting and ergonomically shaped ring design similar to what the Holy Trainer series has. it has the little dip backwards at the bottom. It really makes it comfy for the boys. That's a feature I'd like to retain switching devices up.
