Probably higher than the risk of doing damage to your prostate after being locked up for a while. :D

Seriously, I was just looking at a site on urethral play and he notes that anything going into the urethra needs to be sterile. He also comments that catheters and sounds are usually inserted for minutes or hours, not days, although you can do longer term play with a catheter and bag for urine drainage. But sounds are usually inserted for a shorter duration. At the Steelworxx site he says that the "curve plug save and preserve your urethra!". I have no idea what this supposed to mean. Maybe he's referring to the fact that the curve in the plug follows the curve of the urethra? I don't know. It all sounds too risky to be fun to me.

Here's the link to the urethral play site:

I know!

Dietmar got back to me regarding the plug. Since he's German and I'm not yet we still have to communicate with English, he either said it is or can be made such that the plug would be removable.

It is beyond hot. I can't get over the idea of even sticking something up my urethra let alone leaving it there for a long time though. I had the camera deal done once and didn't care for that too much. And they used a really good numbing cream.

I don't see how this would work with a PA. It's not nearly as secure as your SH, right?

As for the "anatomical" bent ring, isn't there a concern that your balls could slip through? The standard bottom gap for a Dietmar device is 15mm -- the bend would add another 10mm? 25mm (one inch) would seem to be a rather large gap.

BTW, I'm considering ordering a SH or Revenge before it becomes twice as expensive in US dollars.

I was dealing with a worse exchange rate when I bought mine. C'est la vie.

Apparently, the plug makes it secure. You can't withdraw enough to get it out unless it's unlocked from the ring. Apparently. And yes, the bent ring might lead to Houdini balls, but I'm not even close to that happening at the moment. I would maintain my 40mm ring size so should be fine. If I were to buy it. Probably won't, but it is nice to look at...

*sigh*

Ok, I am going to speak as an authority on this, seeming as I have had extensive contact with Dietmar regarding the device he made for me. When I have asked him in the past, he said that the plugs cannot be worn long term, but I would be interested in further explanation from him as to why. And as I recollect, you can have your old units retro-fitted to include these new plugs. I am going to go ahead and say that yes it is removable, and it is threaded into the hole in the tip of the unit. Yes I agree this new unit is very sexy. No way to get hard in that.

UTI. If you have ever had one... You never want one again. Frank Zappa (I think?) why does it hurt when I pee? Plus all the rest of the time.

Play with sterilized sounds before you try this. You will probably say "Ok, tried that and I'm good!" ;-)
