We've been practicing this on and off for about 10 years, maybe more. We still prefer the CB3k, although if I can ever get the time to modify the Fort to match my current setup, it might run a close second.

The cage devices that I've made in the past were similar to the Jailbird, and we didn't like that I could stimulate the skin just enough to orgasm. That brings it down a few notches on the Security scale.

OTOH, I do spend a lot of time modifying the plastic devices, which most people probably would not be able to do.

In addition, Mrs. Edge really does prefer to see into the device.

I understand what you are saying about access in something like the jailbird. I know that mine is small enough that there is really very little access and I didn't get any appreciable pleasure from trying. If it was the size of the CB3K though it would probably have a lot more potential for abuse

Does anyone know when Mature Metal started making devices? It seems that a big factor in the popularity of those is that he is producing a custom-made, reasonably priced device. The only other ones that would seem to fall into this category are the Steelworxx and Ms. Lori's tubes, both of which are more expensive than MM.

Visual appeal is a plus I think. The metal types that don't seem to eliminate any stroking don't make any sense to me. A "whats the point??"

Tom - I'm very curious about the mods your doing? Fit and all that are still of some concern. I understand trying it on 4 times for hours is not much of a breaking in period. Breaking in? Ouch... Bad choice of words...

Back to the original topic. A few people were posting that they thought the Curve was difficult to wear without anyone noticing. I tried a variety of underwear pants and all I can say is that its little different from how I appear without it so I think this device got a bad rap.

There is clearly more down stairs with it on but maybe its being a guy. I don't scope out "packages" maybe women are more hyper alert? At least its in the down (and locked) position so no one is going to think its perv-o-ramma.

Now that a variety of stainless steel devices are more readily available, I think I see a tacit assumption to the effect that if someone is "serious" about chastity, then they need to give up the plastic devices. Your statement can easily be taken to mean that you assume a correlation between those who have practiced this for some longer period of time and those who use steel devices.

People are funny. I have been taking a ration of manure lately from both my Windows and Mac using friends about my efforts to switch over to Linux. I recently converted an old hardtail mountain bike to be more street friendly, and have been hearing comments to the effect that I "should" have done it differently (or not at all) by the spandex wearing hardcore guys. I bought a Chevy pickup, and my Ford friends seem to have issues with this.

I've blogged about how the Tollyboy, Access Denied, LIS, and Latowski users make disparaging remarks about the trapped-ball devices, and how the Loris, Steelheart, etc., users diss the CBxxxx users, and how the CBxxxx users poke fun at Birdlock and Stallion Guard devices.

Point is, for some reason we like to put ourselves in an "us" vs "them" situation. We're all in this forum because while we are (mostly) into chastity, we're separating ourselves from those who associate chastity with cuckolding or sissification. I almost expect a separate forum for Mature Metal users.

The devices are just sex toys. A bit pricey, somewhat elaborate, but ultimately, they are just sex toys. We all use what we use because it works for us.
