Got one of these devices and trying to use it myself but i cannot fully get it on, the ring is too small and im using what appears to be the largest, anyone have any advice, when i get close to being able to do it, my balls turn purple.

There was a recent (last couple of days) post suggesting where one could get larger rings for the newer CB series.

Also, you are using the largest ring right? There should be 5 different rings if you have a genuine CB6000.
