This looks to be nothing more than creative writing. It'd be a pretty boring post if it listed dildos or vibrators for every state.
If it is based on real data, it's most certainly a very small subset of the overall market place - likely one retailer specializing in kink which is the genre of this author's work.

Some years ago, somebody from The Stockroom told me that after dildoes and insertables, chastity devices were the next biggest selling items. However, The Stockroom is on online sex toy distributor that is more geared to BDSM; I'm not sure what the more average distributor would have for figures.
