I did it for science (Male Chastity!?)

Post by Jimi123 »

Nerve Magazine actually wrote an article on male Chastity.

http://www.nerve.com/ididitforscience/i ... e-chastity

"The prospect of assembling the thing was mind-boggling. Luckily, I was accompanied by a friend who was familiar with the product, and she locked me in without a glance at the owner's manual. Declaring that chastity was "kinda hot,"

Hummm.... Wishing this friend had helped him explore this a bit more. His experience wasn't too stellar and he seems to buy into the idea that this is just a sub/dom thing but its interesting stuff.

But I have nothing but respect for couples who buy the device hoping to achieve that impossible goal: making fidelity hot.
Um... not only possible, but possibly unavoidable.
They started messing around and she took his pants off, only to find that he was wearing a strange, plastic case around his dick with a padlock up around the base. He explained that he preferred to be dominated by his woman, before handing her over the key to the padlock and saying that he was "ready to behave."
Good lord. Granted, I haven't been in the dating scene for awhile, but really??
After several days of wearing the KTB nonstop, and experiencing many severe punishments, you actually do learn how to have close to zero sexual thoughts, and you learn to avoid indulging in absolutely zero sexual fantasies.
My twisted mind wants to try this now.

I think it's worth noting that the article Jimi linked to was written back in 2003. My impression is that there has been a "maturing" of interest and understanding about chastity in recent years and in that respect, this article seems a little bit dated. Just my 2 cents.

Just what I need. Another article to make me feel even more "abnormal".

Being a couple of standard deviations off the right side of the Belle curve is a GOOD thing.

I'm not sure how I would go about learning how to avoid indulging in zero sexual fantasies.

It might be easier not to not avoid not indulging in zero sexual fantasies.

Awwww. First of all, consider that normal is BORING - by definition. One of my favorite bumper stickers is "Well behaved women rarely make history". Well-behaved _people_ rarely do anything interesting.

The other part is the article is really old - the CB-2000 is fairly antique, and from most accounts, not terribly comfortable. Plus he didn't have a delicious spouse to tease him while he did it.

What I think it really boils down to is Dev's rules:

She's in charge
I'm locked up
We're having FUN

As long as the last part is true, then have fun, and don't worry about how uncommon fun it might be.

About once or twice a year an article will pop up, usually on a mainstream blog or online magazine that mentions the chastity devices, usually as a humorous or WTF? kind of topic. The comments accompanying the articles are usually just what you'd expect from the unenlightened.

I'm maybe too new at this to be offended? Frankly I was just happy its being talked about. I think some of the comments were accurate *like issues urinating the first time. I kind of thought it was very interesting this women who knew all about it, thought it was kind of hot and snapped it on him in short order.

Plus for what its worth the writer's style is "My editor thought it would be a good idea for me to go try going to an orgy / pegging / etc" and then he gives a fairly humor filled list of all the things that go wrong. He is sort of a "sex doofis" which for some of us who are not so experienced or smooth makes for good reading.

I think the idea (Shared it seems by many) that male chastity is about one range of things is unfortunate and btw one reason that this forum has been positive for me.
