I agree wanting to get out is a big part of the fun, that's where "I can't" comes in.
If I could "sneak out" that (from experience) ruins it, changes your mindset knowing you could still gratify yourself, at least partially.

+1 on the notion that wanting out is the driving factor. It's not bondage until you want out.
