You may have a different problem. The hacker site was disabled some time ago, and now if you use the search function and are redirected it results only in an error message.

This message keeps coming up (or a similar varaiant) for me during a search:

Frustrating

There's no virus or malware. The search function will re-direct, but it's harmless, if annoying. That's why we have told people to use http://duckduckgo.com. For some reason, it won't redirect on a search, unlike Bing or Google, or Yahoo.

If I go to my "view posts" page, and try clicking on the link, There are few different sites I get re-directed to. There are a few other things that taken me to different sites too, but I can't remember them all It makes it extremely burdensome to navigate the site. I never had a problem before I was registered and just lurking. I don't have it on any other site I go to either.

The redirection is due to a hacked .htaccess file. There are 3 lines that need to be removed. I am not sure why they have not been but I agree it is a pain to navigate around the site.

The bad part is someone has re-registered the domain name and has another redirect going to a survey site.

Thanks for the update on the re-registration.

We really need to get Thumper to fix that file, or let one of us do it.

I don't know if that has anything to do with when we registered we had to try several time to get the confirmation email sent, and contacted "Thumper" on his website as it wouldn't let us contact anyone in the forum without logging in. A bit of a catch 22 there. The site seems to have a lot of good info, we would hate to not be able to use it easily because of such things.

And the problem is still there.

Whilst trying to find the site I was sent to a dodgy web address from google asking me to downlaod some dodgy files.

I guess there are still some issues?
