Abbreviation Question

One of the problems I had when first entering this forum was learning all of the abbreviations. It took frequent trips back to Google, then return to the forum. I've noticed that other members, even long time members, have this problem also.
I was wondering if there was any way to set up Wikipedia type search for members at the forum site. I didn’t know if it could be set-up to access it through the search box or not. The problem with making a thread with abbreviations would be after a while it would be hard to find a particular abbreviation in a sting of posts. A Wikipedia type list would allow members to add or update as necessary.

Don’t know if it’s possible, but I thought the administrators could have something to think about when not frying Spam.

We could make a thread and 'sticky' it to appear at the top of the messages. Abbreviations, FAQs, useful tips, websites, etc.

Having a handy reference guide is probably not a bad idea.

Hm, interesting. Perhaps we could create a cheat sheet/glossary/codex and have it stickied somewhere prominently in the forum so folks could refer to it. Kind of like we have the info for new members? Would that work for you?

Dev; if you are asking me if that would help the answer is yes. When I read some posts I have to leave and come back, and why would I want to leave here?

Let me start. People can keep posting items and eventually I'll compile it all together, put it in alphabetical order and sticky it somewhere. This list is totally off the top of my head:

CB: chastity belt

CB-6000, CB-2000, CB-3000, CB-6000s: a variety of devices manufactured by A.L. Miller Enterprises. Made of polycarbonate

CB6K, CB2K, CB3K, CB6Ks - shorthand for the above mentioned devices

MM - Mature Metal. A one person business in Midland, TX who manufactures custom made metal devices. www.maturemetal.com

JB, WM, PT: JailBird, Watchful Mistress, Pet Trap. Three popular devices from Mature Metal

P/V I: Penis/vagina intercourse. Also a variation PIV

OD, ID: outer diameter, inner diameter. Measurements on chastity devices

that's a start...

A few more:

The Curve - another tube in the CBk series

FLR - Female Led Relationship

KH or K/H - Key Holder

MC - Male Chastity

Bon4 - Chastity Device

D/S - Dominant/Subservient

BDSM - Bondage Discipline Sadism Mascochism I think I got this right?

Pegging - Using a dildo in a males butt. One I had to look-up when new here.

Steelworxx - Manufacture's of Steelheart chastity belt

Something I haven't figured out yet. Is a chastity belt a device that has a belt that goes around the waist and a chastiy device is one that uses the trapped balls technique? Are these two terms interchangable?

FLR - female led relationship. You might also see these variations: FLM (female led marriage), WLM (wife led marriage), WLR (wife led relationship), LFA (loving female authority)

along the same lines: HOH (head of household), DD (domestic discipline)

Bon4 is a silicone device. Another silicone one that gets mentioned is the Birdlocked.

D/s - usually Dominant/submissive (although some say subservient)

Pegging - using a strap-on for anal sex, usually female to male, but there can be variations. Dan Savage had a poll and his readers came up with this. Another Dan Savage/reader generated term is

santorum (small s) - The frothy mix of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the byproduct of anal sex. Santorum with a capital S is a politician from Pennsylvania who has presidential aspirations and is an opponent of same-sex marriage (and isn't too happy about the small s definition that is the first thing that comes up on Google when you Google his name).

Dan Savage - syndicated sex advice columnist with a weekly column the Seattle Stranger. He also has a podcast. Thursday, November 4, 2010 was a red-letter day when Dan corrected himself in an answer he had given about chastity; mikecb and the Chastity Forums got mentioned in his answer, and my blog, Denying Thumper, and Nuts4Belle were cited as "informative, compelling, and well-written blogs." You can read it all here: http://slog.thestranger.com/slog/archiv ... e-chastity

Steelworxx: as you said, a manufacturer of chastity devices, located in Germany. Dietmar is the owner. There is also a company in Canada called Steelwerks (or Steelwerks Extreme) that makes chastity devices. http://steelwerksextreme.com/blog/

Chastity Mansion: a forum similar to this (with postings, etc.). Members there tend more towards discussion of sissification and feminization.

She Makes the Rules: a forum with a focus on FLRs. Does have sections on chastity.

Fetlife: A community of kinksters with groups, events, get-togethers, places to share photos, discussions of all sorts of fetishes, etc.

While reading here today a few more terms that seemed to stump.

Exobelt - a chastity device
Wartenberg wheel - still don't know what you do with it even after looking at it.
Fuckzall - a fuck machine hooked to a power drill

The Wartenberg wheel used to be used by podiatrists and neurologists to assess peripheral nerve function. As a medical device, it's pretty much obsolete but its life continues as a fun sex toy. The little pins on the end of each prong are very sharp. If you roll it across your skin, even very lightly, it can quite painful. Not painful in a thuddy, thumpy way but in a very stingy sharp way. What is interesting, that I have discovered, is that if you have "warmed up" your partner, the Wartenberg wheel becomes a combination pleasure/pain device that seems to drive the recipient wild...at least, that's the way Ab was acting the other night.

As for Fuckzall, I had ever heard of one before last week, either!

You know, we actually *could* start a chastity wiki...
